A NOTE FROM FATHER ANDREW
Dear Parish Family,
This weekend we celebrate Catechetical Sunday when parishes across the country will recognize those who
share in the evangelizing and teaching mission of the Church. It is a day when we give thanks for all those
who are involved in Faith Formation in our parish. My sincere thanks to Donna Remaley and to all the
volunteers who are involved with LIFT and to all those who are involved with faith formation in the vari-
ous areas of our parish. It is an exciting time for us this weekend because this weekend is our first LIFT
session for the year. Welcome back to all our families! This weekend we truly thank God for blessing our
community with those who pass on and share our faith with our children and our families. Please keep
these special ministers in your prayers throughout this year as well as the families and adults who will share
in the LIFT program. Below is a prayer for those who are involved in Faith Formation.
I also want to thank all those who attended our ministry rally ONE DAY last week. It was wonderful to see
so many people involved in so many areas of ministry here at Holy Eucharist. My thanks to all those who
helped in any way to make it a successful event. I hope and pray more members will come forward to join
and participate in ministry.
Loving God, Creator of all things,
you call us to be in relationship with you and others.
Thank you for calling me to be involved in the ministry of Faith Formation
for the opportunity to share with others what you have given to me.
May all those with whom I share the gift of faith
discover how you are present in all things.
May they come to know you, the one true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
May the grace of the Holy Spirit guide my heart and lips,
so that I may remain constant in loving and praising you.
May I be a witness to the Gospel and a minister of your truth.
May all my words and actions reflect your love.
Amen.
Have a wonderful week!
See you on the weekend.

“No servant can serve two masters. He will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).” LUKE 16:13
Is money a “god” that you put before God? Giving money to support the Church and other charity is
a pillar of our Faith, just like attending Mass every Sunday and participating in parish ministry. Giv-
ing money frees us from being a slave to money and increases our dependence on God and to trust
that He will provide all that we need.

the meaning of Christmas. ( stay tuned for more details!). We so look forward to welcoming our faith
community and guests to Christmas - may everyone who walks through our doors experience the mar-
