Innovation Demonstrated at Caterpillar Press EventCaterpillar introduced several new technologies to nation-

al and international media recently at its facilities in Peoria,Ill. These technologies included a new more fuel-efficientwheel loader, a hybrid excavator and Tier IV Final. The event included a tour of the new Caterpillar Visitor

Center. Caterpillar invested more than $52 million into the50,000 sq. ft. facility and the new Peoria Riverfront Museumprojects, which achieved LEED Gold status. The new visitor’s center allows for self-guided journeys of

Caterpillar’s products, history, achievements and opportuni-ties through interactive displays and exhibits. Visitors havethe power to unleash their inner engineer and design theirvery own Cat machine, or hop onto a simulator and see first-hand what it’s like to operate a Caterpillar excavator, dozeror loader. A heritage gallery displays a Caterpillar D8 tractorand informs of the company’s milestones, while theCaterpillar Jobsite Theater promotes job opportunities at thecompany. The new center also features the 797F Mining Truck

Theatre, which is a 62-seat theater that was converted froma working 24 ft.-tall (7.3 m), 400-ton (362.9 t) Cat 797F min-ing truck. The 797F is approximately the size of a two-and-a-half-story house, covering more than 4,500 sq. ft. (418 sqm). Caterpillar had to create new wheels for the truck-con-verted theater, since the tires on the 797F weighed too much(11,680 lbs [5,298 kg]).The Next Generation Is Here, the title Caterpillar gave to

the event, refers to the idea that Caterpillar is bringing thefuture to the present.

Cat 966 K XEThe Cat 966K XE wheel loader; is powered by a Cat C9.3

Acert diesel engine, delivering a peak net rating of (290 hp)220 kW. It incorporates a high-pressure common rail injec-tion system for a clean, efficient burn. The Cat clean emis-sions module, which incorporates a diesel oxidation catalyst,a diesel particulate filter and the Cat regeneration system, functions automatically without interrupting the machine’sworking cycle. The engine can be controlled to operate more efficiently

over a wide range of conditions. During deceleration, machine momentum can be recovered as free energy topower implements or the cooling fan, while significantlylower working engine speeds result in reduced soot build-upfor longer regeneration intervals, cutting fuel use further. The 966K XE is equipped with an advanced powertrain

system, which delivers up to a 25 percent fuel efficiency, according to the company. The 966K XE has been engi-neered to deliver efficiency by utilizing an integrated Catcontinuously variable transmission system. A hydraulicpump and motor (variator unit), allows for a smooth andcontinuous gear ratio change between engine speed andmachine speed. The variator provides this ratio flexibilitywhile reducing the heat load generated by the drive trainwhen the machine is digging, pushing and climbing underheavy load. The continuously variable gear ratio of the vari-ator also enables the engine to run at a more efficient operat-ing range independent of machine ground speed.Power is transmitted through the variator unit (versatile

gear ratio) as well as a parallel mechanical gear path (high-est efficiency). Power through the variator and mechanicalpaths are combined through a series of planetary gear sets inorder to maximize the transmission efficiency over a widerange of operating conditions. Media demoed this machine in Caterpillar’s two-acre

indoor proving ground.

Cat 336E H The Cat 336E H uses a new hydraulic hybrid technology

developed by Caterpillar. “A hybrid is independent of any particular technology; it

doesn’t have to be electric,” said Ken Gray, global productmanager of large hydraulic excavators of Caterpillar’s exca-vation division. “Caterpillar has developed, built, and tested electric

hybrid excavators, but, until now, we had not found a hybridapproach that would actually lower our customers’ owningand operating costs. Large excavators operate in high-pro-duction applications in which fuel is a very significant oper-ating cost for our customers. So, the 336E H, the hybrid ver-sion of our workhorse 336E, is ideal for introducing our newhydraulic hybrid technology,” said Gray. The 336E H has all of the same powerful advantages of

the 336E with the biggest difference between the two mod-els having even greater fuel efficiency. To achieve added fuelsavings, the design of the 336E H uses three building blocktechnologies that: 1) Conserve fuel with engine power management via the

Cat electronic standardized programmable (ESP) pump, which smoothly transitions between the hydraulic hybridpower sources, engine, and accumulator. 2) Optimize performance using restriction management

via the patented Cat adaptive control system (ACS) valve, which intelligently manages restrictions and flows to seam-lessly control machine motion with no loss of power, and to

ensure operators experience no difference in control, hydraulic power or lift capability. 3) Reuse energy via the hydraulic hybrid swing system,

which captures the excavator’s upper structure swing brakeenergy in accumulators, and then releases the energy duringswing acceleration.Customers can expect the 336E H to use up to 25 percent

less fuel compared to a standard 336E, and up to 33 percentless fuel than the 330/336D, said Caterpillar. All three of thetechnology building blocks, conserve, optimize and reuse, are integrated together to maximize fuel savings in a varietyof applications.

The Cat 336E H uses a method of storing energy forlater use. The company chose a hydraulic hybrid overan electrical one since the technology decreased over-all operating costs.

One member of the media tries the virtual 336E H in“The Cave.”

Project Improvements Include Congestion Relief, Safetysavings, efficiency, congestion relief, safety, cost and timesavings, reduction in head-on crashes and reduction in main-tenance. This is the first transportation project in northern Nevada

to use the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) method ofprocurement. CMAR, which is also frequently used in the construction

of schools, is “particularly suited to renovation type projectsbecause this type of project is time sensitive, has a complexscope of work, can be subject to changes that become appar-ent late in the design process and requires a high level ofcomplex construction management.” according to theWashoe County School District.A final NDOT first on this project is the inclusion of

“green” bike lanes resulting in safe bicyclist access. Phase one included reconstructing the I-580 southbound

Moana Lane off-ramp and prep work to reconstruct thenorthbound on and off-ramps. Phase two included reconstruction of the I-580 Moana

Lane northbound on and off ramps, the southbound on ramp, and Moana Lane from just west of the southbound off-rampto just east of the northbound off-ramp.

The Diverging DiamondDiverging diamond interchanges are often used at inter-

sections located beneath or above freeway bridges. “NDOT wanted to improve this interchange without a lot

of land acquisition or extended disruption to traffic,” saidNDOT spokesperson Scott Magruder.Diverging diamond interchanges have been in use for

years in France. The first diverging diamond interchange inthe United States was completed in 2009 in Springfield,Miss., followed by other successful diverging diamond inter-changes in states such as Utah. Plans for diverging diamondinterchanges also are proceeding in many additional states.

Diverging diamond interchanges were ranked one ofPopular Science’s top 25 “Best of What’s New.”

How It WorksAt a diverging diamond interchange, traffic briefly cross-

es over to the left (opposite) side of the roadway, safely guid-ed by traffic signals at each crossover. This allows vehiclesto turn left onto freeway on-ramps without stopping andwithout conflicting with through traffic. In other words, traffic is briefly routed to the opposite side

of the road at an intersection. Because vehicles are now traveling on the left side of the

road, they are on the same side of the road as freeway on-ramps and are able to take the freeway on-ramp or other exitwithout waiting in separate turn lanes as in traditional inter-sections.

Through traffic simply travels through the intersection andswitches back to the right side of the road after the intersec-tion, all guided by roadway signs and markings.Diverging diamond interchanges feature signs, striping,

curbs, headlight glare screens and concrete barriers to guideand safely separate opposing traffic as it moves through theinterchange.

The BenefitsThe free, unsignalized left turns onto freeway on-ramps,

etc. helps reduce congestion. “The key to the DDI is the ‘free’ left turn,” said Magruder. There are fewer signal phases and a shorter wait at traffic

lights by eliminating signalized left-hand turn lights.DDIs often reduce by half the number of conflict points

at which vehicles can potentially collide, and make “wrongway” entry onto the freeway ramps extremely difficult.Additionally, they can be more cost and time-effective to

build, as they often require less land and fewer potentially-costly changes to existing road structures. DDIs also provide heightened pedestrian/bicyclist safety

with the construction of designated, enclosed shared usepaths built in the middle of the diamond interchange.Granite Construction, headquartered in Watsonville,

Calif., has built two other Diverging Diamond Interchangesand works on 2,000 construction projects annually. The I-580 project called for 20,000 cu. yds. (15,292 cu m)

of roadway excavation, and installation of 9 manholes and17 drainage inlets. Crews layed 9,000 ton (8,163 t) of aggre-gate base and 3,800 ton (3,446.6 t) of dense grade paving. They also poured approximately 6,500 cu. yds. (4,970 cu

m) of PCCP and set more than 15,000 linear ft. of whitepaving forms. In 64 working days on this interchange,Granite logged over 25,000 man hours with zero injuries. For more information, visit www.Moana395.com.

Crushing, Screening & Recycling SectionMetso C120 Jaw Combines Crushing Efficiency, Safety

Metso’s Mining andConstruction Technology’sC120 jaw crusher is the 13thmember of the C-series range ofcrushers. Metso’s C120 com-bines uncompromising reliabili-ty, crushing efficiency and versa-tility in both stationary andmobile applications with safetyand ease of use.

“When starting the C120 proj-ect, we listened closely to ourcustomers and collected fielddata from a number of sites.Based on that, we decided todesign the crusher cavity andkinematics first. As a result,Metso can now offer aggregatesproducers, large-scale contrac-tors and mining companies anew crusher that meets all thestandards set for any demandingapplication,” said Ilkka Somero,Metso’s product manager of jawcrushers.

Productivity ThroughLong Stroke

and Fixed Jaw DieThe productivity of the C120

is the result of several newdesign elements. The crusherfeatures a long and aggressivelydirected stroke, and a fixed jawdie longer than previously seenin this crusher size class. TheC120 has a large feed opening of 34 by 47in. (86 by 119 cm) and an aggressive cavitycross section, resulting in a high perform-ance and reduction ratio, according to themanufacturer.

In terms of cavity volume and crusherweight, the C120 is positioned between theexisting Metso C116 and C125 jaw crushermodels.

Easy to InstallThe C120 is easy to install, due to its com-

pact design, and includes an optional inte-grated motor bed and guards. Being well-balanced, the C120 is quick, easy and cost-efficient to install using rubber mounting

pads underneath the crusher mount-ing brackets. No separate horizontalsupports are needed. The crusher canbe mounted in a variety of ways toensure an easy fit onto an existing ornew steel structure.

Mechanical or hydraulic settingadjustment systems are available forquick, easy and safe setting adjust-ment. For jaw dies, several cavityoptions are available. Depending onthe customer’s preference, it is possi-ble to use either single- or two-piecejaw dies.

Safety the Highest PrioritySafety is the highest priority for

Metso when designing a new crush-er. The C120 features optional robustcomposite flywheel guards that allowquick and safe access to all servicepoints. The standard deliveryincludes lifting tools for jaw dies, cheek plates and toggle plate, con-tributing to operational safety whenchanging wear parts.

The Metso C120’s nominal poweris 200 hp (160 kW), operating speed230 rpm, closed side setting between2.75 to 8 in. (70 to 20 cm). The oper-ational weight is 57,200 lb. (26,000kg), excluding options. For more information, visit

The Vermeer BC900XL features a large 9 by 14-in. (23 by 35.6 cm) feed opening to help boost pro-ductivity by reducing the need to trim heavilybranched material before feeding it into the chip-per. A 33-in.-diameter (83.8 cm) disc rotates at1,400 rpm and features two steel chipper kniveswith two usable cutting edges each. Two shear barsalso have two usable edges to help extend wearlife.

Another feature — the SmartFeed system —monitors engine rpm and automatically stops andreverses the single horizontal feed roller whenfeeding larger, hardwood material, helping toenhance chipping productivity. A 40 hp (29.8 kW)Kohler Command CH1000 gas engine providesthe power to pull and process difficult branchmaterial. The engine also offers a no-spill oil-filter-change feature for ease of serviceability.

The Vermeer BC900XL is equipped with safetyfeatures such as a long feed table design, bottomfeed stop bar and a four-position feed control bar.The bottom feed stop bar is strategically located tomake it possible for the operator’s leg to strike thebar and shut off the feed, either intentionally orautomatically, in an emergency situation.

Lokotrack LT106 Jaw Plant FeaturesIncrease Efficiency, Safety, Mobility

Metso’s Lokotrack LT106 jaw plant has new featuresdesigned to deliver higher productivity at lower cost per ton.The updated LT106 has a robust crusher drive and heavy-duty air filtration system with pre-cleaner requiring lessmaintenance. High-inertia flywheels mean fewer powerpeaks, so the engine consistently operates at optimum speed, lowering fuel consumption by as much as 25 to 30 percent, according to the manufacturer.

Improved PerformanceThe LT106 is built around Metso’s C106 jaw, featuring a

42 by 28 in. (106 by 71 cm) crushing chamber for high out-put. The LT106 also is fitted with an aggressive vibratingfeeder. An advanced Metso IC700control and monitoring system withultrasonic level sensor automaticallyadjusts feed rate for peak productivi-ty.

A new hydraulic system, coupledwith an environmentally friendly,low-emission Cat C9.3 Tier IV or C9Tier III engine and high-inertiafly-wheels, offers fuel efficiency of 4 to6 gal. (17 to 22 L) per hour on aver-age without compromising processflexibility, safety or durability of thehydraulic drive.

Setting Standards in MobilityThe Lokotrack LT106’s compact dimensions and agility

on tracks mean lower transport costs between and withincrushing sites. The chassis design, with good clearance onboth ends, enables safe and easy loading onto a trailer. Theunit is ready for crushing or transport within minutes, due tothe feed hopper with a safe hydraulic securing system andradial side conveyor.

Safe and Easy to OperateNew design features, such as engine and flywheel com-

posite covers, together with large service platforms andaccessibility make daily operations safe and easy.

“There are so many things youcan point to that make this newLokotrack LT106 better than the pre-vious one,” said Tommi Lehtonen,Metso vice president, mobiles. “It iscompletely re-engineered, designwork was driven by our close rela-tionship with our customers, and theresult is a more efficient, reliable andproductive machine. Naturally, wemade it the safest machine to operatein the industry.”

Powerscreen Warrior 1400XOffers Easier ServiceabilityPowerscreen, a provider of mobile crush-

ing and screening equipment, launched thenew Warrior 1400X screen.Damian Power, Powerscreen global

product director said: “The newPowerscreen Warrior 1400X offersimproved performance, lower operatingcosts and easier serviceability while build-ing on the reliable foundation of our class-leading Warrior 1400 scalper.”The 1400X has been designed with econ-

omy in mind. With reduced engine runningspeed and enhanced hydraulics, the 1400Xoffers a reduction in fuel consumption of upto 15 percent in comparison to its predeces-sor. This can translate into a substantialfinancial saving for customers over the life-time of the machine.Improved versatility and design specifi-

cations are other key achievements of theWarrior 1400X, with the screening anglerange widening of 13 to 19 degrees.Standard stockpiling capacity on all con-veyors has increased by up to 25 percent. With the chassis riser option and the tele-scopic side conveyor option, the fines andmid-grade stockpiling capacity is increasedto more than double that of a standard

Warrior 1400, according to the manufactur-er.Time required for set-up and shutdown is

faster than the previous model, which willbe of particular benefit to contractors.Serviceability features include a screen boxraise function and the ability to raise thecollection conveyor. Optimal chute designin conjunction with the new feeder under-tray slide-out feature will minimize anypotential spillage and reduce any harmfulmaterial build-up around the machine. The Warrior 1400X now boasts

improved mobility with a two speed track-ing system as standard. The high speedmode is further enhanced with automaticengine speed ramp-up making the 1400Xthe fastest tracked machine in its range, according to the manufacturer. The Warrior 1400X can be fitted with

SECT IONAttachments

HCT’s Aftermarket Hydraulic Kits Meet Job Site ChallengesFor many years, hydraulic exca-

vators were mostly dirt-diggingmachines. Over time, however, ahuge number of attachments havebeen developed that have exponen-tially expanded the capabilities ofthe excavator. These attachments, which include items such as break-ers, shears, thumbs, brush-cutters,augers and compactors, all requirethe installation of one or moreadditional (or auxiliary), hydrauliccircuits that must be integrated intothe existing hydraulic system.

In the early days, the owner ofsuch an attachment would have touse his own ingenuity to obtain thisauxiliary capability. It was notunusual to see draped hoses tied upwith wire, or even Schedule 80

threaded pipe, to supply the attach-ment. Leaking fluid and frequentdowntime were commonplace, and perhaps even expected. Safetywas sometimes sacrificed for expe-diency.

Today, such methods are notacceptable. Safety and environ-mental concerns are paramount.Leaks and failures that were onceviewed as unavoidable annoyancesare now viewed as serious eventswith consequences.

HydrauliCircuit Technology(HCT) has become a leadingprovider of aftermarket hydraulickits, engineered to withstand thejob site challenges that come withattachment operations. Whateverthe nature of the job, whether con-

struction, quarry or demoli-tion-related, the auxiliary cir-cuits are subjected to stressesmore extreme than any otheron an excavator. The highflows, high pressures, fastcycle times, pulsation andexternal shock are factors thatmust be considered in the cir-

cuit design phase. The experienced design engi-

neers at HydrauliCircuitTechnology have continuouslyupgraded hydraulic components intheir kits for many years, as newand better technology becameavailable. One highly visible

example of this philosophy is theuse of an extremely heavy-dutytubing and clamp system thatreduces potential leak points, andprovides the most durable circuitavailable, exceeding, in mostcases, the strength of existingmachine components, according tothe manufacturer. HCT tube-hoseconnections include industry-stan-dard SAE-approved O-ring FaceSeal (ORFS), and Code 62 4-boltflange connections. Tubing is cus-tom-fabricated and bent for eachexcavator model. Tube ends arePulse-MIG welded for superiorstrength. A wide array of custom-designed forged steel tube clampsensure that the tubes will not moveunder severe stress. Componentsare protected with UV-resistantpowder-coating to withstand harshenvironments.

Navin Baliga, president of HCT,pointed out that some kit manufac-turers use thin-walled flared/ferruleconnections.

“This might be suitable forindustrial applications, but notfor use on an excavator,” Baligastated. “With the demanding appli-

cations placed on excavators, espe-cially in the demolition industrywith the use of second and third-member shears, keeping theintegrity of all the hydraulic con-nections is key for any machineowner. Designing a long tube withmultiple sections might enableother manufacturers to pull genericpieces from stock, and to shipquickly. Unfortunately, this prac-tice greatly increases the numberof leak points and the resultingconnections are disliked by someservice technicians.HydrauliCircuit Technology elimi-nates potential leak points by con-necting the tube ends directly to thehose assembly and do not require amale-to-male union connector toachieve this.”

Bobby Hudson, national salesmanager of HCT, added, “HCTcomponents may take a day longerto build, and may cost more to shipovernight, but in the long run, cus-tomers benefit from the value in aproduct that is designed and builtto operate safely and to last for

Mack Pinnacle DeliversChristmas to U.S. CapitolThe 2012 Capitol Christmas tree

was illuminated in an official lightingceremony Dec. 4 on the west lawn ofthe U.S. Capitol, following a 5,300-mi. multi-week journey on the brawnof a Mack Pinnacle model.Speaker of the House John

Boehner (R-Ohio), accompanied by17-year-old Ryan Shuster, flipped theswitch, lighting the 73-ft. EngelmannSpruce and marking the officialbeginning of the holiday season inD.C. Shuster, from Colorado Springs,Colo., was randomly selected from1,300 youths throughout the statewho created more than 5,000 hand-made ornaments for the tree.Decorated with approximately

10,000 low-energy LED lights, thetree will be lit every evening fromdusk until 11 p.m. throughout the hol-iday season. The tree was hauled in a special

trailer and pulled by a SmartWay-cer-tified Mack Pinnacle model driven byformer U.S. Sen. Ben NighthorseCampbell. A second Mack tractorhauled the ornaments and dozens ofcompanion trees that will decorateother government buildings inWashington.Distinctively decaled with a deter-

mined Bulldog pulling a tree across asnow-covered landscape, the MackPinnacle is equipped with a near-zeroemissions MP8 engine with MackClearTech SCR technology and anadvanced mDRIVE automated man-ual transmission, which optimizedfuel efficiency and performance byassuring that the truck was always inthe right gear. The mDRIVE continu-ally monitored changes in grade, speed, acceleration and weight as thetree traveled over mountains, throughsmall towns and on busy highways onits way to Washington. During itsthree-week trip, the Pinnacle tractor

braved whiteout conditions throughmountain passes, freezing tempera-tures and tight maneuvering in smalltowns and big cities. Throughout, theMack truck handled all challengeswith ease.“Hauling the Capitol Christmas

tree this year has been a specialassignment that we have reallyenjoyed,” said John Walsh, vice pres-ident of marketing for Mack Trucks.“This is a job our trucks are built for— demanding hauls across all kindsof terrain with very important cargo. We are pleased that the U.S. ForestService and Choose Outdoors trustedthis job to Mack, and we look forwardto again hauling the CapitolChristmas tree in 2013.” The tradition of the Capitol

Christmas Tree, also known as “ThePeople’s Tree,” began in 1964.National forests rotate the responsibil-ity each year of providing a tree thatwill stand on the west lawn of theU.S. Capitol as a gift to the nation.

East Improves IntegratedStairway for Flatbed TrailersSecuring a flatbed load often requires climbing up on — and down from — the deck of

the trailer. That’s not easy, and can even be potentially dangerous. To provide a simpler, eas-ier and safer entrance to and exit from the flatbed deck, East Manufacturing first introducedan optional integrated stairway a few years ago. Now East has improved this option byadding a locking door enclosure that allows for additional lights and license plate mounting, while giving the rear end a more custom appearance.“The East integrated stairway is

a smart safety option for flatbedtrailers,” said Bill McKenzie, prod-uct manager of platform products.“When open, the deck lid lockssecurely in the upright position viadouble rods that slide into two spe-cially designed receivers. The firstof two handrails is located underthe lid, providing a handy 45degree vertical handhold that’sabove deck height. The secondhandrail is built next to the steps, which are made of pooch-punched aluminum for bothdrainage as well as a skid-resistant surface.” In the down position, the deck lid latches securely to prevent bouncing during transit. The

deck lid is load bearing, so the trailer loses zero deck area because of the stairs. Now East hasadded a new door that can be locked and fitted with ID lights that comply with federal DOTrequirements, as well as a lighted license plate mounting area. The integrated stairway is allaluminum, so no extra weight is added to the trailer. For more information, call 888/405-3278 or visit www.eastmfg.com.

Calif. Bullet Train Route toCross Earthquake FaultsCalifornia hasn’t considered such an

immense north-south rail link since the1870s, when Southern Pacific Railroadbored through the Tehachapis. Thousands ofChinese laborers dug and dynamited the wayup and through the mountains, creating 18tunnels on a route that climbed more than4,000 ft. (1,219 m). Today, only freight trains use the route.

Passenger service through the Tehachapiswas discontinued in 1971. The high-speed train won’t be able to use

the twisting loops of that route; it will need astraighter, flatter path to maintain its speed. A corridor for high-voltage lines must be

built through the Tehachapis to supply thetrain, which will need an estimated 2.7 mil-lion kilowatt hours of electricity daily, equalto about a quarter of the average daily outputof Hoover Dam. On the way between the Central Valley

and the south, the bullet train could zoomacross the Mojave Desert, pass through an 8-mi. (12.9 km) long tunnel under the canyonsof Santa Clarita north of downtown LosAngeles and race through northeastern SanFernando Valley neighborhoods, which may

require removing some homes and business-es from the route. It would go underground near Glendale,

run under the Los Angeles River and proba-bly would hit street level again aroundChinatown. The exact route won’t be chosen until next

year but about 200 people already are work-ing on the southern segment. Among otherthings, the tracks will have to cross a half-dozen earthquake faults, including the infa-mous San Andreas, which could produce a7.5-magnitude temblor. The chances of a quake occurring while a

train is going over a fault is “very small” butbig temblors could cause a derailment, saidC. Michael Gillam, a vice president at engi-neering company Parsons Brinckerhoff, which is overseeing the design of the south-ern segment. Ideas being considered are reinforcing

viaducts and creating a system that automat-ically slows or stops trains during quakes. While the engineering challenges are

daunting they are not unique: Switzerland isbuilding a 35.4-mi. (56.7 m) rail tunnelunder the Alps. And China has a highwaybridge 1,627 ft. (496 m) high.

eration of the Cat C9.3 Acert industrialengine, which is designed to meet U.S.EPA Tier IV Final/EU Stage IV emissionstandards. The new engine is a six-cylin-der, 9.3 L platform that produces powerdensity with ratings from 300-400 hp(224-298kW). It is equipped with a fully-integrated clean emission module (CEM),which includes a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC), diesel particulate filter (DPF), andselective catalytic reduction (SCR) tech-nology. “Utilizing a Cat common rail fuel sys-

tem and new aftertreatment technology, the Tier IV Final/EU Stage IV C9.3 Acertimproves fuel consumption by up to fourpercent compared to the current Tier IVInterim/Stage IIIB model,” said Mike
