Medication Policy Medications are not

available in school unless provided by parents. Medication must be accompanied by a Doctor’s written order and a parent signature.This includes over the counter medication! Forms are available from the nurse or district website.

When to keep your child home!

Fever of 100 or over, children should be kept home until fever free for 24 hours Conjunctivitis or pink eye Rashes accompanied by illness or fever No episodes of diarrhea or vomiting for 24 hours

Food Allergies

Notify School Nurse of any Food Allergies your child may have.

Have your child’s Doctor complete the Food Allergy Action Plan. (link to district website).

Complete Allergy Self-Management form and submit to School Nurse. (link to district

website). Bring all medications to school on first day.

Physical Science: Fabric Develop a curiosity and interest in the physical world around them. Observe and describe the properties of different fabrics. Compare different fabrics to discover how they are alike and how they are

different. Observe interactions of fabric with water and other substances. Communicate observations. Acquire the vocabulary associated with the properties of fabric. science: Fabric

Life Science: TREES Observe and describe the properties of trees and leaves in the schoolyard. Compare the similarities and differences of the trees and leaves observed. Observe trees throughout the school year for changes that come with the

different seasons. Compare the shapes of leaves to geometric shapes. Compare the size and edges of leaves, using a reference card. Use pictorial experiences to heighten their awareness of the diversity and

variety of trees and leaves. Acquire the vocabulary associated with the properties and structures of trees

and leaves.

AIMSweb The four measures are: Letter Naming Fluency - identified frequently as the best single

indicator of risk for reading failure Letter Sound Fluency - with equal or better predictive ability to later

general reading skills than the DIBELS Phonemic Segmentation measure

Phoneme Segmentation Fluency - the ability to hear critical sounds

in the spoken word Nonsense Word Fluency - the ability to link the written code with the

most common sounds
