I MovieI Movie

TransitionsTransitions The only transitions used in the movie opening were fade in and fade

out. Theses were applied at the begging and the end of the movie. We felt they were necessary as without them the movie would be very

jolty and look unprofessional. The smoothness of the shots going into one another fitted with the smooth scary music creating tension.

Editing Editing In the editing we used a lot of copying and crops. This enabled us to use

shots repetitively through out the opening. Also we used them as where the filming had been interrupted or had gone wrong we could copy the best parts and crop out the parts that had gone wrong.

The Mac’s I Movie is extremely good for the editing offering many options that we were originally going to use such as cross cutting. With all the editing availble, we could create a slick smooth movie.

I MovieI Movie

Titles I move was extremely useful when it came to organising our titles. We could

create them on the Mac and choose different fonts, timing and ways for them to come on the screen.

As the titles are one of the main reasons for the film opening, we wanted different imaginative ways to show them. We filmed writing some of actors names out to create effect and used the I movie to fit them into the correct places. This included of a lot of editing.

Effects We had many effects to choose from, such as slow motion, speeding it up which

we used through out the movie. We used slow motion for the panning shot at the beginning of the opening

sequence which hid the shakiness of the shot. We also used slow motion for the shots as

MusicMusic

We used copyright free music, we found this on the websites on Google.

We learnt how to insert it onto our movie through simply downloading it and then dragging it into I movie.

We then learnt how to put the filming noise filmed on mute so that the music can be inserted over the top.

We had the option of using digetic sounds, however we felt that this was to realistic of the movie we were trying to create and would interfere with the tension. There for we stuck to using non-digetic sound of just music playing in the background.

The CameraThe Camera

Like all films, a camera is needed to capture the action. We learnt the ins and outs of using one, realising it is not as simple as we thought.

We learnt that the more interesting and effective shots we used, made a huge difference on how successful the movie ended out to be.

Digital cameraDigital camera

We used a professional photography camera (Cannon).

This was not like the usual digital cameras it had more futures that created a better shot.

As the shots are suppose to be a girl being stalked, the zoom on the camera had to be very precise.

Blogger Blogger

Blogger is the piece of technology we used to represent all of our planning and evaluating.

Blogger allowed us to use different ways to present our information such as prezzie, power points and videos.

Blogger is fun and easy to use, it also makes reading the information I have written fun and unique.
