Classrooms connect teachers and students…
Social media has broken down old rules, hierarchies and barriers in terms of how groups of learners connect…
The teacher once stood at the front of the group
Now, through technology, people can connect together as both teachers and learners at the same time (Dron & Anderson, 2014, p.xi)
Technology links learning which takes place
At home,
and in school.
amongst peers,
(Ito et al., 2013; Dron & Anderson, 2014; Garcia, 2013).
in the community,
Because it combines student’s academic and non-academic learning, using connected Learning in schools represents a “bold re-envisioning of what education can look like.”
