• New install directory frame

The file layout inside the install directory has been modified. The change will take

place from the 28th version.

The affected files are the following:

Report files.

Machine configuration files.

ExpertII help files.

Let’s suppose that the install directory is c:\LANTEK\Expert. Then the files will be

located in the following locations:

c:\LANTEK\Expert\Reports

c:\LANTEK\Expert\MchFiles

c:\LANTEK\Expert\Help

respectively.

Report files

The ExpertII files .rpt and .lll are located in the Reports directory with the ExpertIII

files .rpt. When an application report runs, it will check for the Reports directory

in the install directory. If it exists then the report will be run from this directory.

Otherwise, it will be run from the install directory.

Machine configuration files

There is a new MchFiles directory where there are all the machine configuration files

are present:

c:\LANTEK\Expert\MchFiles.

For instance, the files for a Lantek Cut Iso… machine are the following:

If the MchFiles directory does not exist, then the processing is the same as before.

The machine configuration files will be located in the install directory.

If the MchFiles directory exists, the work flow will be as follows::

1.- Create a new machine. The machine configuration files are read

from the MchFiles directory. A executing The files are copied from

the MchFiles directory to the install directory or to the network after

executing appropriate actions.

2.- Create an existing machine. If the files are not in the network, we

work in the same way with the machine configuration files in the

install directory.

If the files are in the network, we work with the machine configuration

files in the network.

3.- Machine configuration. The machine configuration files are read

from the install directory or from the network.

Therefore, all the machine configuration files will be located in the MchFiles

directory. Whereas, the files of the installed machine will be located in the install

directory.

When the machine has been created, we won’t work with the files of the MchFiles

directory.

Change of net configuration to local and vice versa

If we are working with the machine configuration files in net and we pass to work in

local, the files will be copied to the install directory and they will not be deleted, if

they don't exist.

In the event of passing work from local to net, the files will be copied to net, if they

don't exist and those that have been copied from local will be deleted in local.

The file .exe corresponding to each machine will be always in the installation

directory.

CoyPost application

There are two options to run this application:

1. With the parameter 1 : CopyPost.exe 1

2. Without parameters: CopyPost.exe

1. When this application is run with the parameter 1 the following has to be

done:

- Check if the database has been updated with all the machine configuration

files. For that, there is a new file called DBConnect.lst, with the

following format for each database:

A000 “ServerName1,DatabaseName1”

B000 “MachineName1”

B000 “MachineName2”

B000 “MachineName3”

B000 “MachineNameN”

C000 “”

The parameter A000 includes the server name and the database name.

The parameters B000 include the name of all the machines installed in the

local computer, where the file .lst is located.

The parameter C000 indicates a finished mark.

This information is used to check if there are new installed machines in

the network. For instance, there are two computers working in network

configuration. If one installs a machine, the other one will not have the

necessary files in local (.exe, .se*, etc.). To avoid this situation, the file

DBConnect.lst is used.

- If the actual database name and all the machines installed in the database are

found in this file, then the machine configuration files have already been

copied from the MchFiles directory and the copy process is finished.

- Otherwise, the following is the process:

a. Modify the file seed for each machine.

b. Check if the machine configuration files exist in network or local,

according to configuration.

c. In case some of the files do not exist, they are copied from the

MchFiles directory.

d. Then, the file DBConnect.lst is updated with the actual database

and all the machines are installed.

This application will be run from ExpertPr and Drawnest (for pulsar).

2. When this application is run without the parameter 1, the existence of

DBConnect.lst file is not checked; but, the existence of machine

configuration files is always checked. The remaining process is the same as

the previous one.

The executable file will be copied to the installation directory.

The location of machine configuration files is shown in the parameter Input

Directory. Until now, the parameter was the install path. For example:

c:\LANTEK\Expert

If the MchFiles directory exists, the parameter will be the following path:

c:\LANTEK\Expert\MchFiles

Otherwise, it will be the previous one:

c:\LANTEK\Expert

The Pallet help files can also be found in the same directory:

• While importing a part that already exists, the program will prompt for several

options to indicate what we want to do. This option is only visible for Punching

machines. If we choose ‘Overwrite’, we have a new option to keep machining and

technology. If we want to use this option for processes, we need to use the Z027

parameter of the LANTEKIN.CNI. and we have to put 5 parameters instead of one.

- 1st parameter -> 1 = Overwrites the product machine, 0 = Does not overwrite

- 2nd parameter -> 1 = Overwrites the product material, 0 = Does not overwrite

- 3rd parameter -> 1 = Overwrites the product thickness, 0 = Does not overwrite

- 4th parameter -> 1 = Keeps machining and technology, 0 = Does not keep.

- 5th parameter -> Continues with the same meaning

Even though it does not use processes, it is possible to fill the first four digits of the

Z027 parameter, to show in the window that I want to keep machining and

technology of the product. It always saves this configuration instead of the latest

configuration entered by the user.

• Machining initialization wizard

The windows for the machining initialization have been incorporated into a

wizard. The user can specify in the machine configuration the data to be

personalized later in the wizard. It can be done by selecting the corresponding

check boxes of the window names to be included, during the initialization.

The wizard will be launched from the CAD module with the Initialize option.

The user will navigate through the windows of initialization with the

navigation buttons “Previous” and “Next”, or from the tree on the left side

accessing directly the window to modify.

At any time, the user will conclude the configuration of the initialization by

clicking “Finish” button, which will accept the changes that have been done and

will proceed to initialize the machining.

• Job Explorer

A new system for management of jobs has been developed, where jobs will be

organized in folders in a tree structure on the panel on the left side of the CAM

module.

The user can activate this panel from the CAM module ,“View à Job

explorer”.

With the new management model, jobs will have two identifiers: name and

reference. Until now, the user was introducing a reference for the job, which

must be unique in the database, and it was the identifier for a job. From now

on, while creating a new job, an automatic reference will be generated which

will be unique in the database, and the user will introduce a name for it. It will

not be possible to create jobs with the same name in the same folder, although it

can be possible to repeat the name under different folders. This rule will also be

applied for folders.

The windows, which were showing references of jobs, will now show a pair of

parameters: name and reference, to distinguish one job from another, as the

name may not be unique in the database.

When working on the job explorer, the option “Jobs à Open” will open the job

containing the focus at that moment, and in case of a folder containing the

focus, this will be expanded. When creating a new job from “Jobs à New”, the

user will introduce name, reference, user data and order information for the new

job, which will be created under the folder where the focus was.

With the options offered for a job in the tree, the user can open, export, cut and

paste, delete and view or modify its properties.

For a folder in the tree, the options are contract and expand, create a new job or

folder, find, cut and paste, delete and change name.

When creating a new job in the tree, the user will just introduce a name for the

job, to speed up the creation process; and the user may add or modify

additional parameters from the “Properties” option.

The search option is carried out by selecting different criteria. There are two

options:

- Simple find: The search is done by the job name.

- Advanced find. It allows you to introduce more additional parameters

apart from the name of the job, such as reference, date of creation of

the job, user's data, machine, material, thickness as well as the selection

of works for quotation.

The search result is shown in a list including the following columns: Reference,

job name and the path of the job.

It is possible to open an order, to delete it, to modify it and to export it, from

the obtained list of jobs.

The user will navigate and work on the tree of the job explorer by using the

following shortcut keys: Delete (delete a job/folder), Intro (open a job/folder),

F2 (change the name of a job/folder) and F3 ( search in a folder).

The user will specify the visualization mode of the explorer tree by using the

behavior parameter Z070 in LANTEK.CNI file (0: Name only; 1: Reference

and name).

NOTE : There is a Wizard that creates a folder structure considering the

existing jobs. See the document “Wizard for the folder structure.doc”

• There is a new “Sheet template” called CAJCUT_P3.CAJ. In this “Sheet

template”, the user data from the sheet is displayed..

• New functionalities added to lead in/out with U type.

Before this version, we just had the following distinct options for this type of

arc:

1.- Lead out with arc form.

2.- Lead out with arc and segment form.

3.- Nothing.

If we do not want to use these new functionalities, we must set up lead in and

lead out angles to 0º when required (depending on quality, material and

thickness…).

In v28, two new possibilities have been added to lead in/out:

1.- Lead out with segment and without arc. (Perpendicular or with an angle

related to the contour)

This is a lead out setup with outer segment perpendicular to the contour:

Out R(adius) = 0º y D(istance) /= 0 mm.

Lead out setup with segment and an outer angle related to contour:

Example 1: Lead Out D(istance) /= 5 mm. A(ngle) = 45º R(adius) = 0º

2.-Inner and outer angles for a segment tangent to an arc.

Lead in/out setup with inner and outer segment tangent to inner and outer arcs

respectively.

Example 1: Lead In = Lead Out

D(istance) = Do(istance) = 5 mm. A(ngle) = A(ngle) = 60º R(adius) = R(adius) = 1 mm.

• New option in mosaic application

o CAM / Drawing / Utilities / Mosaics

A new configurable option has been developed for the mode of create parts:

Create a part by each tile

When this option is selected, all the parts that exist in a tile will be saved in a single

part that contains the whole geometry: open contours, closed contours, texts, etc. In

this case, the options “Delete parts with the same perimeter as” and “Join the parts

inside each tile whose reference text is” will not be shown in the properties window.

This option can be configured from the Modify mosaics properties window as

shown in the following figure:

• New option for mosaics application. With this new option, it is possible to avoid the

system from saving the empty tiles. The parameter is activated from the window

setup.

o CAM / Drawing / Mosaics / Configure / Delete empty tiles

• New interface for loop and round angle configuration window. It has been modified

to make handling easier. There is a distinction between the configuration for the

following sets of angles : 0 and W (maximum angle), and W (maximum angle) and

Z (limit angle). In the following figure, you can see the effects on a part image,

when the “Loops values” and “Round angles” options are selected for angles

between (0-W).

• New PROTECTED option to save the sheet box in a Windows Metafile file, saving

parts as well as nestings. In case there are several generated files, the files have the

following names:

where n is the corresponding part number or the nesting number. If C:\LANTEK is

the installation directory, the files are saved in the following directories:

C:\LANTEK\Database\DatabaseName\Products\0 for the part case.

C:\LANTEK\Database\DatabaseName\Nestings\0 for the nesting case.

where DatabaseName is the name of the database we are working with.

• IMPORT AND EXPORT NESTING

A new option has been developed that allows to import and export nestings from the

application of CAM and Nesting and machining.

There is the option of exporting a list of nestings from a database to a selected

directory. The frame of this directory is shown in the following figure:

There are three other directories and a file in the selected directory for the export:

- Machines: The whole frame created when exporting the nesting

machines are saved in this directory.

- Nestings: The files .bmp, .chp and .mec of each exported nesting are

saved in this directory.

- Products: The information about the products saved here as .bmp and

.mec files.

- EXPORTNEST.NXP: This file contains all the necessary information

about machines, materials, sheets, products and nestings, to carry out

the import.

When the Export nestings option is selected, a window that allows configuring the

export appears.

The options in the window are described as follows:

- Configuration files and machine tools. This option allows you to export the

machines of the selected nestings from the database to a .bck file. It is

carried out automatically when this option is selected. The corresponding

.bck file is exported to a directory. It is located in the export directory path,

adding “\Machines”, as it has been mentioned before. For example:

C: \Lantek\Expert\Nestings\Machines

- The next option allows to choose either to display every sheet of the job or

to display every sheet of the database. So that, when selecting the nesting to

be exported, you can choose nestings from another job other than the active

job. In case, there is no active order when exporting, the option Every sheet

of the database only will appear, and Every sheet of the job will be disabled.

The nestings are in the left listand the selected nestings are in the right list.

- Criteria. They can be configured from the following window.

Depending on the configured fields, the corresponding nestings will appear

on the left of the Export nestings window.

- Display drawing. It is possible to show the drawing of a nesting you want to

export, when it is selected. In the event of selecting a job, the system will

display the drawing of the first nesting of the job.

Once all the options have been configured and accepted, a window will be shown

to indicate the export directory:

A new option has been created for the import nestings. Once selected, a window is

shown that offers the possibility to select a file with extension .NXP.This file will

contain the necessary information to carry out the import.

The import nesting process can be run by double-clicking the EXPORTNEST.NXP

file, when the application ExpertPr.exe is associated with this extension.

Next, you can configure the process of import. There are several options.

created with the export nestings. It is possible to modify it. If it exists, the

application will indicate it.

- Secondly, if the machine configuration has been exported, in , the

Configuration files and machine tools option will be displayed. . If it is

selected, the following window will be displayed during the import:

allows to modify the name or cancel the import of the whole process:

Once the process of importing nestings to the database is finished, the system

automatically runs the nesting module with the imported job. With this action, the

user will be able to see the imported nestings and to generate the corresponding

CNC files for each of the nestings. It is necessary to generate the CNC files for

each nesting because they are not imported with the nesting.

• For this new version, the modules pool has been enlarged for multi-part modules.

Until now, the system only made these types of modules adding all the possible

parts into the rectangular area formed by a particular part. For example, with the

following parts the system could not make any module:

• Improvement in the part rotation management. In this version it is not possible to

rotate those parts that do not change when they are rotated.. For example, circles.

For such parts only one rotation is required because it is the same for all angles.

Other examples are squares and rectangles. If you rotate those parts with different

angles, 90, 180 and 270, the result would be the same in the most of the cases. The

rule to block those rotations is that more than 80% of the geometrical elements of

the external contour of the part are segments that are horizontal or vertical.

This new method of processing the parts makes automatic nesting to be faster in

some cases because the number of possible rotations for some parts has been

reduced.

The user can activate the rotation at any time, from “Utilities->Configure->Part

rotation”.

• A new algorithm, “Piston Algorithm”, has been implemented. , It complements the

regular algorithm. This algorithm changes the modules created by the regular

algorithm to place more parts into the sheet. This algorithm always is done with the

regular.

• “Do all” application has been improved. Now, nesting of all the jobs or the sheets of

the subjob will be faster. If some testing parameters are enabled, if all sheet formats

are the same, or if we execute this with all sheets combination, the time spent will be

less.. Lot of time will be saved because unnecessary tests will not be done hereafter.

• On the nesting explorer, a new option, “delete every sheet of the subjob” has been

added to the drop-down menu displayed when you right-click a subjob with

sheets.This option allows us to delete all unwanted sheets instantly.

• Automatic nesting has been modified, and now it will work on multiple processors,

in parallel. This new improvement will result in better execution results, especially,

when each method’s testing benchmarks are much higher.

• Improvements in automatic machining option in the drawing and nesting modules.

With those improvements, we will be able to machine heavy parts faster with a lot of

geometry..

• The algorithm for applying automatic technologies to sheet parts has been improved.

Technologies such as lead in, lead out, bridges, loops or joins have experienced a

great change.

• The tool selection + action have been improved. Now, a user will get more

feedback from the application because the applicationwill respondfaster to his

orders. These improvements will affect drawing and nesting modules during

massive selections, inverse selections and capture-window selections. In addition,

delete tool has been improved too, decreasing the time that has been spent on the

deletion of heavy parts. Thus, the system takes less time for the most appropriate

nesting.

• The algorithm for saving parts and sheets has been improved in the nesting module,

so CNC files will be created faster.

• Nesting and drawing modules can be accessed faster from CAM.

• Time and Cost Application has been improved too, allowing to prepare quotes

faster. The improvements will affect Nesting and Drawing modules . We attach the

nesting that has been used in our tests.

• New option for semiautomatic bridges. This option allows us to select the parts to

create a bridge between them. So, a new button is present in the Bridge toolbar, as

shown in the following figure:

Furthermore, the bridge configuration window has been modified to select the

bridge fitting. It can be fitted to the left or to the right. New images have also been

included making the window easier to manage and understand.

• New dockable panel to manually perform the nesting with multitorch. The quick

access option CTRL+M has been replaced with a panel with the following

information:

- Number of torches you want to use

- Distance between torches

- Automatic distances. If this parameter is activated, the minimal distance

between the torches will be calculated, provided that the second parameter,

“Distance between torches” is less than the automatic distance. If this option

is activated, the “Distance between torches” parameter will be deactivated

and the system displays the defined value of minimal distance between the

torches.

- Apply button, to consider the data introduced in the panel and to create new

multitorch modules with that configuration or to modify them.

The panel can be hidden or displayed from the menu or from the tool bar by

clicking the last button:

The option “Select with multitorch” should be activated to view the panel in each

case.

In version 27, you could define some reduction percentages related to piercing

radius, when the cut quality changed, but those percentages were common to all

machine’s materials and thicknesses.

The reduction percentages were applied only when the “Test overlapping”

parameter was activated with the “Change quality” option or when the machining

was verified.

With this new parameter, it is possible to define values for piercing radius for all

qualities, thicknesses and materials.

The new radii will replace all the previous piercing radii . (Machining

verification, quality changes in overlapping test…).

These values can be defined depending on the default piercing radius, (CAM /

Utilities / Machines / Configure / System / cutting parameters / General / Piercing

Radius)

data / cutting parameters / piercing radius) as a percentage of it, or as an

absolute value. When one of those values changes, the other value will be

updated.

• New window organization for the automatic nesting setup of punch. On one hand, all

the parameters, applied to the rectangular nesting method (Picture 2) and the

parameters applied to the true shape method (Picture 3) have been grouped into two.

On the other hand, there are the general parameters (Picture 1) and the auxiliary

parameters (Picture 4) that are applied to both methods. The true shape method

has also been updated to make it more user-friendly. In the previous version, if you

wanted to use the true shape method, you had to enable the use of that method, and

then, you had to confirm that you really wanted to use it. Now, you only have to

choose the method you want to use and you don’t have to enable the true shape

method.

is initialized to the middle size of the part.

Till now, when you select this option, Expert organizes the direction of cut by

zones, changing the direction of the cut in every line, without taking care if the line

has any segment to cut. Now we have modified this algorithm to change the

• Change punch instructions in the nesting when a part is modified.

Previously, when a part was modified in the drawing module (a little change: for

example, a dimension note) and if that part was in a nesting, the punch instructions

of that part were deleted. This problem is resolved, and now the system detects the

change in the geometry or in the machining and change the instructions in the

nesting. For example, now if the user only inserts a dimension note in a part, the

nestings of that part are not modified.

Now the system also machines nesting the punch instructions that are moved and

added in the part. Before, these punch instructions are not machined in the nesting.

The system machines these instructions automatically and moves them to a

position depending on the machining order configured. . It is possible that sometimes

the machining order are not the best, so the user checks the order of the machining

of the nesting while moving or inserting new punch instructions in the part.

Furthermore, if the user modifies the exterior of the part (common or not common

punch), the system also changes the punch instructions of the exterior. In this case,

depending how much the user changes the exterior of the part, the machining of the

nesting can be incorrect or incomplete. So if the user changes the exterior of a part,

the user has to verify that the machining of the nesting is correct.

This is a default option. It will detect whether a piece of sheet is a part or a hole.

machining. Now when chute evacuation is deleted, the original nibbling is

recovered in some cases.

segment with the trap evacuation, and make all the exterior nibbling together with

the trap.

We have fixed a problem on the utilization of the trap in automatic mode. When the

part was not over the trap in a percent bigger than the defined in the configuration of

the machine, we usually put a stop in the evacuation; but now, we make

automatically a movement to place the part correctly for its evacuation.

In the total destruction of the remnant, when we have checked the evacuation of the

remnant by trap, sometimes Lantek did not do the evacuation correctly; because ,

when the evacuation was generated, the work zone used was incorrect. Now this

problem is fixed and the remnants are evacuated correctly.

• Order punch sequence by window

There are three new checks:

- Keep machining order to maintain the order and move machining after the

position of the first machining selected for each window

- Invert order of nibbling depending on the machining direction

We have fixed some error in the machining order by path and by time, making it

more efficient. For example: Before these changes, sometimes these options make

this organization, now we always make it good.

Be careful with the parameter Auto-index rotation time (360) (Configuration

machine/Time calculation/Punching parameters/General) because the machining

order by path and by time depends on this parameter. So if this parameter has an

incorrect value, the machining order can be incorrect when the tool is in an auto-

index station.

• Total destruction of remnant by proximity (Version 28.00)

punch configuration / Outside punching / Total destruction of the

remnant

With this check you have the option to let the remnant destruction like before or

make it more efficient; because if you select this option, the order of the destruction

will be by proximity and if the edge has more than one line to destruct, these lines

will be continuous instead of zigzag.

Until now, when you machine a part in semiautomatic mode with the contour option,

you need to move the screen to refresh the machining; now the machining is

refreshing correctly after finishing the option.

• Generate correct information during total destruction of remnant

When the option total destruction of remnant generates a remnant to evacuate with

the lift to pallet, the system generates the correct information for the palletization of

this remnant in the pallet module.

• Correction in Sheet simulation while showing machining of a tool

• New type of clamps, movable clamps with 2 positions. (BayKal)

In the new clamp types, we define the distance that they can move. The movement of

the clamp will be of this distance but changing the direction in each movement. The

first direction is always in the positive X axis.

Until now, the machining by contour with the option of total destruction of remnant

worked wrong. Now, it does not add extra repositions; it is possible to do machining

by parts in several selections or several parts in the same selection, if you follow the

correct order for remnants destruction. You can also machine some parts by contour

and the rest of the sheet in automatic mode.

• Trap optimization by zones

Until now, you can only configure the mode of evacuation. Now, you can also

configure the direction of the evacuation and the tolerance to optimize it. Besides,

these values are saved in the file Lantekpr.cfg from which the values will be loaded

later.

1. In this part, you can configure the tool for horizontal and vertical segments.

2. Here you can define the way you want to machine the sheet (By parts, by direction or total destruction) using “Order” combo box. You can also configure, how to cut each part and whether you want to cut by grids or not.

3. Here you can define the way the parts are to be cut around the sheet.

4. Here you can configure how to machine the edging of the sheet. You can just select the type of the edging or click in the arrow button and configure it.

When you change some combos or click on some places the options in the window

and some texts will change. Only the options that lantek is going to use will be

• Optimize punches on corners

Now the window has been modified to select the punches to be used to optimize

the punches on the corners.

There are four options:

- Predefined tool: Try to use only this punch.

- Punches used on corners: Try with the punches used in this corner.

- Punches used on sheet: Try with all the punches that are used to punch the

sheet.

- All punches: Try with all the punches that are in the data base.

The system keeps on trying from “Predefined tool”, if selected, until the option

selected.

drawing simulation option. In the last version, that checkbox was in configuration

window and if you have decided to enable or disable it, that affected all parts of the

list. Now you can decide if you want to show or hide any part’s geometry. This will

2.1.1. ITEMS

• The new “Price Update” application updates the prices and tariffs of a group of

products, defining their specific price or applying the corresponding percentage

increase or decrease.

2.2. CRM

2.2.1. DUNNING MANAGEMENT

• The new “Dunning” application is launched from the CRM tree. This application

allows the financial manager to track all the customers with pending payments.

Once the user has defined the dunning levels, the status of the costumer will

change according to the eventual default payments. The application can lock the

customer and create the reminder documents to be sent to the debtors. Based on

that, it can also create new charge lines for the non paid invoices.

2.3. MANUFACTURING

2.3.1. MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS

• The system updates the operations status from “available” to “in workshop”

when the operations have available elements to be validated. This happens if the

“Update manufacturing operation status when the previous operation is

validated” configuration parameter is enabled.

• The “Import from manufacturing operations” application has been extended,

allowing to import 2D and 3D geometries. With these options it is possible to

select the required geometries, to create new products in the database

automatically and to generate the operations needed to manufacture them.

2.3.2. WOS

• New setup form that allows to select different options to modify the WOS

behavior. The options are

o Clone operations when reprocessing nestings, that allow to copy or do not

allow to copy operations that are related with a nesting.

o Automatic time management, that blocks or does not block the edition of

times in the validation form. Only the System administrator has access to

this option.

• Change of Clock Watch. In order to get a more user-friendly interface, an option

has been designed that allows hiding the timers in the control panel.

• Details tab has been settled in the lower part of the interface and new information

about the machine claws is now showed there.

• Now it is possible to delete finished nesting from the data base to get a faster

environment.

• The filter functionality has been renewed. Now advanced filter or user filters can

be easily made in a more suitable and powerful interface.

• New improvements in the turret change plug-in.

• A new functionality has been included that allows to manage batch numbers in

WOS module.

2.3.3. WORK CENTERS

• There is a new application allowing to remove work centers from the system.

When the user tries to delete a work center in use, a warning message listing all

the information that will be deleted is displayed. Then, the user can decide

whether to proceed or to cancel the process.

2.4. SALES MANAGEMENT

2.4.1. GENERAL

• There is a new functionality allowing to create quotes, sale orders, delivery notes

and weight based invoices. Similarly, it is also possible to work with them.

• New application filters for the sales management documents.

2.4.2. SALE ORDERS

• There is a new application importing 2D sheet part geometries into sale orders.

The application allows the user to select a 2D geometry, insert the product in the

database and create a new line in the current sale order of the product.

• When the “Delivery date” is updated in a sale order, the delivery date of the

manufacturing order is also updated. Therefore, the required date of the

manufacturing operations is updated as well.

• The “Add new products to the sale order” application has been redesigned.

Similarly, its functionality and speed have been improved.

• There is a new functionality when making quotes, sales orders, delivery notes

and invoices. If the customer has limited credit, the system will display a warning

message allowing the user to choose among the following options:

• It allows quoting more than one line in the same window. All the necessary data

is available and there is no need to open more windows.

• There are four options to create a new quotation line:

o A product from database with the possibility to duplicate the product.

o With the sheet part importer.

o With the QuickDraw.

o With the Draw module.

• It is possible to duplicate a quote line with all the data (product, operations and

costs).

• The products created with the quotation tool are saved as draft products. They

will not be available as real products until the sale order is created.

• Cut operations can be quoted with the complete CUT/PUNCH wizard or with a

simplified version. (The functionality is exactly the same as the Expert III

quotation wizard).

• The bending operations can be quoted with the complete BENDING wizard or

with a simpler one. (The functionality is exactly the same as the Expert III

quotation wizard).

• There is a default wizard for all technologies.

• There is an option to configure EXCEL templates and use them as quotation

wizards for all technologies.

• There is an option to configure PARAMETRICS and use them as quotation

wizards for all technologies

• The user can configure easily the quotation wizards available for each

technology, operation and work center.

• It allows adding/deleting/modifying any operation involving products.

• The new outsourcing module has been created to meet the increasing need of

the clients to subcontract some of the processes of their enterprise.

• There can be two different reasons to outsource:

• Outsourcing is closely connected to the rest of the process, since it is not

isolated from the other activities of the company.

• The outsourcing module generates 4 main documents:

o Outsourcing orders: The outsourcing order includes all the operations

and materials the company is sending to the supplier. The system can

create outsourcing orders based on the manufacturing operations

defined as outsourcing operations and depending on a supplier.

o Exit delivery notes: It is possible to create a delivery note containing

the information of what is sent to the supplier and its cost. This

document records the launching of the operation and the dispatch of

the material to the supplier.

o Entry delivery notes: This document records what the supplier has

sent back and what has been integrated in our system. It is also

possible to receive some material back as surplus or remnant. When

this document is received, the outsourcing operation is validated

following the same pattern as any other validation. Once the operation

has been validated, it is possible to send the next operation to the

supplier.

o Invoices: This document follows the same pattern as the other

invoices of the system.

• From the Outsourcing module, it is possible to track the items and to select

the track number option when an exit delivery note is sent or when an entry

delivery note is received.

• It is possible to account an invoice and to generate the distributions at the

same time. Therefore, it is possible to account several invoices at the same

the Reports center. It is possible to choose the address from the configured

• New list window to assign automatic references. This window allows you to

leave the organizational unit field blank. If that field is empty, the automatic

reference will be assigned to all the organizational units the user is allowed to

connect to.

• Now it is possible to turn a partition invisible from the interface editor.

• The following commands have been added: Expand the groups, Expand all

the groups, Collapse the groups, Collapse all the groups.

• New BrowserRoot command to execute a browser window with just one root
