What Makes Ray Ban the Perfect Choice for Sunglasses

Ray Ban was initially started as a subdivision project by Bausch & Lomb, when the latter wascharged with the task of developing anti glare sunglasses for the United States Air Force. Due toadvancement in technology, planes were now able to attain a higher altitude. The extremeexposure of the pilots to the direct glare of the sun, mixed with the blue and white hues of thesky resulted in headaches and even blackouts. To solve this problem, Bausch & Lomb created aprototype with tear shaped lenses and metallic frame, and called it the Ray Ban Aviator. Later,when the design started showing promise for ground applications as well, Ray Ban wasconverted into a brand and its very first model was called the Aviator.
