    WHATS HAPPENING!WHATS HAPPENING!WHATS HAPPENING!MINISTRY OF NATIONAL SE CURITYAt the consensus of the Communications Officers, it was pro-

    posed that each Division host a quarterly getting to know you

    event . The Corporate Communications Unit, Ministry of Na-

    tional Security will be the first to hold this event.

    The event is carded for Friday 12 th July, 2013 and begins at

    4.00p.m. at the Ministry of National Security, First Floor Court

    Yard, Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain.

    EMANCIPATION DAY CELEBRATIONSThe celebration of Emancipation Day by theMinistry of National Security seeks to educatemembers of staff on African culture and thesignificance of the occasion. As such, we have

    planned various activities under the theme:Celebrating Our African Heritageaimed atcultivating an appreciation of each others heritage.

    African lecture- July 22African music displayJuly 23

    Hair wrapping and hairstyle day- July 24African make up and jewelry day- July 25African movie day (lunch hour) - July 26

    Energy Sector Security InitiativeThe ESSI launched a two-day critical energy infrastructure

    subject-matter expert exchange workshop. The first day includ-

    ed presentations on critical infrastructure protection and an

    overview of the energy sector and an insight into the UNDP/

    ODPM project on capacity building: assessment, ranking and

    mapping of critical facilities.

    The workshop concluded on Wednesday 10 th July, 2013 with a

    look at how Trinidad and Tobago can enhance the safety and

    security of the energy sector.

    CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONSGETTING TO KNOW YOU EVENT

    The Corporate Communications Unit will be hosting a social

    event under the theme Unity in Adversity for all Corporate

    Communications Officers under the umbrella of the Ministry of

    National Security.Minister of National Security, Senator the Honourable Emman-

    uel George will deliver the feature address. The purpose of the

    event is to synchronize the messages of our various Communi-

    cations Units to our internal and external stakeholders while we

    strive to achieve a single mandate, that is Securing the Nation

    at All Costs.

    AIR GUARD BBQ AND SMALL GOALFOOTBALL COMPETITION

    Registration closes on 12th July, 2013. There will be a regis-

    tration fee of $500.00per team and teams are to comprise six

    (6) players. Cash prizes are as follows;

    1ST - $4,000.00

    2ND - $2,500.00

    3RD - $1,500.00
