We’re one of 12 independent Regional Banks working together with the Board of Governors to strengthen the economy and our communities.

We’re more than just bankers! More than 2,700 of us work in a variety of jobs. We’re auditors, accountants, economists, IT professionals, law enforcement officers, currency processors and more. And, we’re home to important Federal Reserve System functions, like National IT.

We examine about 200 financial

institutions every year to make sure

our nation’s financial system is safe

and sound.

We help make sure your online payments get where they need

to go safely and reliably.

We hold conferences, meetings

and community development events

across our District to learn more about

emerging issues and trends in

our communities.

We don’t print money, but we distribute

new bills and coins to financial institutions

and remove worn, torn or counterfeit ones

from circulation. Our Cash offices process

about 3.4 billion pieces of currency a year.

We care about our communities.

Each year, we volunteer more than 11,000 hours to help organizations across

our District.

The Fed Experience, our interactive exhibit

about the economy, has welcomed more than 44,000 visitors

in Richmond.
