Why are there so many more floods now?
1. Climate Change– The world is warming and scientist are now
confident that the changes in weather are due to global warming.
2. Growing population. – We all need somewhere to live and more
recently more homes have been built in marginal areas near rivers.
– More and more impermeable surfaces as more ‘buildings’ develop. E.g. driveways
