you Spend on Social Media
By: Reega AminBUS 1
Obsessed with:◦ Posting what we do in our daily lives◦ Seeing what others are doing
Takes time away from:◦ Spending real time with family and friends◦ Homework/Studying◦ Working◦ Sleeping
An Everyday Interruption
Difficult to distinguish meaningful relationships◦ Real Friends vs. Online Friends
Decline in intimate friendships◦ People now derive personal support and affirmation
from "likes" and feedback to their postings
False Sense of Connection
Most of what we see or read is pointless◦ Does not have an impact in our real lives◦ Do you really care?
We can do more productive things instead

◦ Followers, friends, likes, comments What you see vs. what is true
◦ Only post what they want you to see
