Leads, participates in, or manages working groups or task forces on strategy and policy development, integration, political analyses and operational planning.

Prepares policy, provides interface with the interagency, Joint, and Office of Secretary of Defense community.

Ensures that all additions, deletions, and changes to these programs are made in accordance with the Army Security Cooperation and Theater Campaign Support Plans as well as the appropriate regulations and the corresponding international agreements.

Deadline: February 27, 2015 Position Description: The primary role of the Women's Refugee Commission's Advocacy Officer in New York is to advance the WRC's priorities with the UN system, diplomatic missions and non-governmental organizations working on human rights and humanitarian issues. The Creative Power Fellowship will see the successful candidate (the ‘Fellow’) based at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (the ‘Institute’), in London for a period of six months working on the Institute’s ‘Creative Power in the 21st Century’ project. The Fellow will have the opportunity to conduct research from Chatham House, including consultations with experts within the Institute’s extensive network, culminating in the publication of a research paper on the topic outlined below. The research will be supervised by a senior Chatham House researcher through regular face-to-face contact. The Fellow will also have the administrative and logistical support of the Asia Programme’s staff, such as for travel arrangements for external meetings or organizing workshops at Chatham House. The Fellow will be expected to:

Author a research paper on ‘Creative Powers and Regional Security in North East Asia’ based on his or her research. The paper will be supervised by a Chatham House expert. (The paper will be subject to peer review and published at the discretion of Chatham House, subject to approval from internal and external reviewers).

Help organize one high-level roundtable in London to aid the Fellow’s research on the Creative Powers project and present their working research at the roundtable.

Contribute their expertise to other Asia Programme research projects and participate in the Institute’s wider activities.

Qualifications: To be eligible for the Creative Powers Fellowship, candidates must:

Hold citizenship from the Republic of Korea. Have a specialized understanding of security policy and how it relates to the Korean

peninsula, particularly the ROK. Ideally, he or she will have experience of studying the ROK alongside comparable states, such as Japan and the UK.

Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent; a PhD is desirable but not essential. Have a minimum of 5 years professional work experience in a relevant field. Have strong English writing and presentation skills; at a minimum the equivalent of

IELTSS band 7.0 or 100 on the internet-based TOEFL and 600 on the paper-based TOEFL.
