The main image below shows Transport
for Londons plan for minor station
improvements at Willesden Junction
- now abandoned.
These City lines tracks (in red) from the low-level to the high-level could perhaps be removed, to allow more redevelopmentof the land.
An alternative operational connection could be made whereshown (in blue), particularly if the Willesden depot for London
Overground trains (photo below) were moved to Wembley.
There is also space to slew the
freight tracks to the left and add anextra platform, shared by terminatinglow-level and high-level trains.

This is one possible station redevelopment(perhaps without three full-time ticket offices!)
The low-level bay platform is removed, the two tracks are moved apart, and the currentspace (green) under the high-level railway bridges is used for easy interchange with newhigh-level platforms (blue) and a new ticket office on the Old Oak Common footpath.
