• Town of Red Oak had purchased 2 picnic shelters for $31,000.
• Lowest bid for construction was $30,000.
• Town could not afford construction cost. Shelters had been put on hold.

Today we excavated footings, removed soil from the site, cleaned up the concrete pad and covered the openings.
We used a Bobcat with an auger, a Bobcat with a bucket for excavation, and hand tools . A trailer was used to remove dirt.
We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch.
On the 23rd we excavated 14 tons of dirt

Today we erected the superstructure of beams and purlins utilizing the truck crane.

Today we used a 55’ truck crane, a 36’ scissor lift, 4 8’ step ladders, 4 sections of frame, a Baker scaffold, a 5,000 watt generator and hand tools.
Lunch was hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies.
Each of the beams weighed over a half ton.
