Comfortable

With an air curtain, doors can remain

open, inviting people inside. The cur-

tain of air invisibly separates the

inside from the outside. The inner

climate is preserved while no draughts

and hardly any temperature changes

arise. Additionally, dust, exhaust

gases and other outside odours are

literally kept outside the door. Also, in

the summer, the heat does not enter

as quickly as it would without the air

curtain.

Indirect fired unit air heater

As a specialist in unit air heating,

Winterwarm introduces an air curtain

in which the heating unit is an

indirect fired unit air heater.

This combination offers several

advantages over electrical air curtains

or air curtains which are connected

to a water heated system:

• gas fired is cheaper than electrical

• no expensive central heating

system required

• simple installation

• no frost danger

• efficient energy consumption

(no pipe losses)

• produces heat within one minute

Functional

The Winterwarm air curtains are

available in 2 types: ACR 20 (19.7

kW) and ACR 28 (27.7 kW) which are

suitable for doors of max. 3.5 m and

4.5 m height respectively; both types

having a width of 2 m. The box at the

front of the unit air heater contains 4

fans with 1 motor. These provide a

strong vertical air current. The ACR

has a modern design with a neutral

colour suitable for every interior. This

is especially important in public

rooms. However, the ACR is also very

suitable for industrial applications

such as over cargo platforms: the

heater starts to operate as soon as the

roller door goes up. A major advanta-

ge of the indirect gas fired heater is

that the unit produces heat very

quickly.

Another application of the ACR is over

a passage between e.g. a heated

production hall and an unheated

warehouse. When an ACR is located

over the passage, the temperature in

the production hall remains fairly

constant and there is no draught from

the warehouse, while fork lift trucks

still have free passage.

Control and suspension

The control of the ACR can take place

by means of a digital modulating room

thermostat (MultiTherm S) which can

also be applied as a 3 stages-switch.

On the lowest setting the heater

produces about 60% of both its

heating capacity and air output.

A second option is the digital modula-

ting clock thermostat MultiTherm C.

Additionally, it is possible to connect

the ACR to a building management

system by means of an interface

(0-10V; optionally). There is a moun-

ting rail on top of the ACR to allow

easy installation by suspension from

the ceiling with threaded bar.
