About TATA Steel
Apart from its Indian operations the Tata Steel group today comprises European operationsthrough Tata Steel Europe and South East Asian operations through Tata Steel Thailand andNatSteel Holdings, Singapore. The Group’s vision is to be the world steel industry’s benchmark in“Value Creation” and “Corporate Citizenship” through the excellence of its people, its innovativeapproach and overall conduct. Underpinning this vision is a performance culture committed toaspiration targets, safety and social responsibility, continuous improvement, openness andtransparency.
Tata Steel Group is among the top global steelcompanies with an annual crude steel capacity of27.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) as onMarch 31, 2017. It is the world's second-mostgeographically-diversified steel producer, withoperations in 26 countries and a commercialpresence in over 50 countries. The Grouprecorded a consolidated turnover of US $18.12billion (INR 117,420 crore) in FY17. Tata SteelGroup is spread across five continents with anemployee base of nearly 74,000.

New Age Construction Solutions
Welded Wire FabricWelded Wire Fabric or Welded Wire Mesh is one ofthe prefabrication solutions aimed at helpingcustomers raise productivity standards inconstruction. We do this by working closely withcustomers to deliver solutions that are customisedto the project requirements, redefining concepts oftime, inventory and manpower management, andmaterial wastage reduction.
Using of welded mesh enablesefficient construction. Projects getcompetitive edge and reducedconstruction cost due to enhancedspeed of construction.

Welded Wire Fabric Manufacturing Process Welded Wire Mesh Manufacturing Process
Cold DrawingWire rods made of Low Carbon Steel of grades SAE (1008, 1010, 1012) with carboncontent less than 0.15% are cold drawn to achieve required tensile strength.
RibbingWhile cold rolling helps in increasing the tensilestrength, the ribbing guarantees the perfectbond with concrete. Ribbing gives the wire thevisual and mechanical properties similar to arebar. Crack widths in concrete elements arecontrolled to the minimum because force iswell distributed through bond effect of ribbedwire as compared to plain wire.
Electric WeldingA precise and semi-automatic type weldingmachine is used for making the weldedwire mesh in steel. This machine has achamber that is capable of delivering thewelds at calculated junctions which in thecase of a mesh is the points of intersectionof the horizontally and vertically alignedsteel wires. Electrical resistance is used forgenerating ample amount of heat to createthe weld. After the welding is done, another length of the parallel wires isforwarded into the machine and the sameprocess of welding continues. When thedesirable length of welded mesh isproduced, the process is stopped and themesh is cut into the demanded dimensionsto be used towards the particular purpose.

Product: Flat Welded Wire Mesh Applications of Flat Welded Wire Fabric
We offer a range of Flat Welded Wire Fabric or Mesh in wire diameters ranging from 5mm to 12mm in an interval of 0.5mm that can be used for reinforcement.
The fabric can be obtained in customized sizes for various applications, standard being 6m x 2.4m and maximum being 6m x 4m.
Welded Wire Fabric has been adopted across the world for vertical aswell as horizontal reinforcement.
Flat Welded Wire Fabric
Horizontal ReinforcementThe Flat Welded Wire Fabric can be used in horizontal reinforcements like floor slabs
Vertical ReinforcementWhen used in vertical reinforcement and precast structures, Flat Mesh would replace Brick and Mortar

Mesh of benefits
Early completion of Project due to easy
installation and easier delivery planning
Savings in steel by using diameter closer to design
area
Savings In steel due to lower lap length
Saving on labor charges-No marking, spacing and
cutting of bars
No scrap generationat site as cutting of bars
on site is reduced or eliminated
Reduction of joints hence reduction in binding wire
consumption
Simple reconciliation at site of construction.
Lower chances of theftReduced site congestion
Smaller diameter wires and closer spacing of wires provide more uniform stress distribution andmore effective crack control in slabs and walls as compared to larger diameter steel bars.
Modern Formwork Technology for Monolithic StructuresUse of formwork technologies like Mivan, Tunnel, Aluminum other system formworkenabling monolithic construction etc. are supported by the Flat Welded Wire Fabric.Welded Wire Fabric can be used in precast panels like panels and walls.
Welded Wire Fabric enables Technology and Compliance
Government RegulationsReal Estate (Regulation and Development) Act( RERA) seeks to impose regulationson the promoter and ensure that construction is completed on time.Mass Housing Projects directed by Ministry of Housing and Urban PovertyAlleviation, Public Private People Participation (PPPP) housing projects etc. have lowtimelines and hence use of Welded Wire Fabric enhances the speed and efficiency ofconstruction in these cases.
The wide range of wire diameters and spacing between wires available with us makes it possible tosupply Welded Wire Fabric which almost matches the exact cross sectional steel area required.
Quality Control in production and specifications is the assurance of conformity to specifications.Test Certificate is delivered with each batch of order for more confidence in the material as well asworkmanship of TATA Steel.
The dependence on human labour is reduced thus minimizing errors, reworks and delays. Various projects in India has already adopted this technology to reduce cost and speed up the project timelines.
The automated process of spacing and dimensional control reduces human errors in placing ofsteel reinforcement and increases accuracy in the fabrication of the mesh. The possibility ofdisplacement of steel bars prior to and during concreting is much reduced.
Consistency and Accuracy
Fully AutomatedProcess of Spacing and Electric
