The DAP-2360 Wireless N PoE Access Point with Plenum-rated Chassis is ideal for

any network administrator to create or expand the capacity of a wireless network.

This Access Point can be used in high-traffic areas such as airports, coffee shops,

shopping centers, sporting venues, and university campus deployments. Users are

abletoconnect,at transfer ratesofupto300Mbps inthe2.4GHzfrequencyrange,

with legacy 802.11b/g adapters as well as the latest 802.11n adapters to enjoy faster

downloads and instant communication.

Versatile Access Point

The DAP-2360 allows network administrators to deploy a highlymanageable and

extremelyrobust802.11nwirelessnetwork.Theincludedantennasaredetachable3

andprovideoptimalwirelesscoverage in the2.4GHz (802.11gand802.11n)band

which is specifically designed to reduce dead spots and increase capacity. Enclosed

in awhiteplenum-ratedmetal chassis, theDAP-2360easilyblends into ceilingsor

walls and adheres to fire regulations for placement in air passageways. For

advanced installations, this high-speed Access Point has integrated 802.3af Power

overEthernet (PoE),making installationeasy inareaswherepoweroutletsarenot

readily available.

Enhanced Performance

The DAP-2360 delivers reliable wireless performance with maximum wireless

signal rates of up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz wireless band. This, coupled with

support for Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM™) and Quality of Service (QoS) features,

makesitanidealAccessPointforaudio,video,andvoiceapplications.Additionally,

the DAP-2360 supports load balancing features to ensuremaximum performance

bymanagingthemaximumnumberofusersperAccessPoint.

Security To help maintain a secure wireless network, the DAP-2360 provides thelatest in wireless security technologies by supporting both Personal andEnterpriseversionsofWPA™andWPA2™(802.11i)withsupportforRADIUSserver backend. To further protect your wireless network, MAC AddressFiltering, Wireless LAN segmentation, Disable SSID Broadcast, Rogue APDetection,andWirelessBroadcastSchedulingarealsoincluded.

The DAP-2360 includes support for up to eight VLANs for implementingmultiple SSIDs to further help segment users on the network. It also includes a wireless client isolation mechanism, which limits direct client-to-client communication.

Multiple Operation ModesTomaximise total return on investment, the DAP-2360 can be configured tooptimise network performance based on any one of its multiple operation modes: Access Point,Wireless Client,WirelessDistribution System (WDS), andWDS with Access Point. With WDS support, network administrators can setup multiple DAP-2360s throughout a facility and configure them to bridgewith one another while also providing network access to individual clients.TheDAP-2360also includesadvanced features suchasLoadBalancing,whichoptimises high network traffic volume, and redundancy for fail-safe wirelessconnectivity.Additionally,theDAP-2360offersSpanningTreeProtocolsupportforgreaterefficiencyandtoavoidbroadcaststormswhenusedinWDSmode,to avoid network downtime.

Network ManagementNetwork administrators have multiple options for managing the DAP-2360,including Web (HTTP), Secure Sockets Later (SSL, which provides asecure connection to the Internet), Secure Shell (SSH, which provides asecurechannelbetweenlocalandremotecomputers),andTelnet(bidirectional,8-bit byte oriented communications facility). For advanced networkmanagement, administrators can use the D-Link AP Manager II or D-ViewSNMPv3 management module to configure and manage multiple Access Points from a single location. In addition to a streamlined management process,the AP Manager II or D-View software provides network administrators withthemeansof verifyingandconducting regularmaintenancechecks remotely,eliminatingtheneedtophysicallyverifyoperation.With2.4GHzbandfunctionality,PoE support, a plenum-rated chassis, extensive manageability, versatileoperationmodes,andsecurityenhancements,theDAP-2360providesbusinessenvironments with a solution for deploying a wireless network in the workplace.
