Mishloach Manot – a PuriM traditionThe mitzvah of giving mishloach manot (purim baskets) derives from the Book of esther. it is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the purim feast. in the past, Women’s League members sent mishloach manot baskets to other members of Women’s League as well as B’nai Torah clergy and staff. for the past five years, Women’s League has chosen to do this mitzvah in an alternative way. instead of creating baskets for each other, we collect money to feed the hungry. Through this new tradition, and through your generosity, WL has made significant monetary contributions to the Jacobson family food pantry and Boca helping hands. please support this very important project by sending a contribution of at least $18. please make checks payable to WLBTC or pay on-line at www.wlbtc.org by february 8, 2018. We will include your name on beautiful purimgrams to all of our clergy and staff. Chag Purim Sameach!
