Waterloo is proud to be the host of the
2016 Central Region Midget AAA Cham-
pionships from March 28 to April 3, 2016
at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation
Complex.
The Central Region Midget AAA Champi-
onship is the OHF Regional Champion-
ship event with the winner moving on to
compete at the Nationals (Telus Cup).
A total of six teams (including the host,
Waterloo) will participate in the Central
Region Championships . These six
include the top team from the: Alliance, GTHL, NOHA, OMHA, and ODMHA. More information coming soon!

The Wolves had many winnings

They finished the regular season in
2nd place with 26 wins and just 6
losses for a total of 52 points.
The Wolves won the Kelowna Inter-
national Tournament title with a per-
fect record of 7 wins.
The Wolves won the Kitchener Blue-
line Tournament title with 5 wins and
a tie.
Waterloo had 4 of the top 10 scorers
in the league: Sam Cherry (2nd, with
16 goals and 26 assists), Jeremy
Goodwin (5th, with 14 goals and 22
assists), Noah Benjamin (6th, with 20
goals and 15 assists), and Zack Camer-
on (9th, with 20 goals and 14 assists).
Waterloo’s goalies finished 2nd and
3rd in the league. Max Wright (2nd
with 14 wins, 4 losses, 2.27GAA) and
Dougie Newhouse (tied for 3rd with
12 wins, 2 losses, 1.70GAA)
As of December 31, 2015, the Wolves
were the 11th ranked Major Midget
AAA Team in Canada

Kelowna International Major Midget Tournament. They won the championship with a perfect
record of 7 straight wins.

This trophy is awarded to the team dis-
playing the greatest work ethic; main-

Alumni News
Midget Operating Committee 2015 -2016
Waterloo Wolves alum, Matt Cruickshank (2011-2012) is
having a great season with the Kitchener Dutchmen with 10
goals and 16 assists so far. Previously Cruickshank played for
the Cornwall Colts of the CCHL (2013-2014) and the Ottawa
Jr. Senators of the CCHL (2014-2015).
The Waterloo Siskins are having a challenging season. Wolves al-
um Nick Hirst, who played with Cruickshank in 2011-12, has been
showing great leadership as their Team Captain. Hirst currently
has 3 goals and 21 assists in the regular season.
