Phase 1: Self Reflection



Mentees attend “Shaping Your Best Year Yet” workshop At the end of the day through a process of quick connections, the

Phase 2: Introducing the Mentors & Mentees


Mentorship teams announced Mentorship Kits emailed First meeting is held as a group & teams fill out contracts Mentorship teams meet monthly for the duration of the program Support offered to the Mentorship teams through Women in Leadership

What is Mentoring?


Act as a source of information about the company’s mission & goals Challenge the mentee to acknowledge strengths/weaknesses & seek

opportunities to overcome these Network the mentee to information & people who are able to add value Seek opportunities for the mentee to practise & develop key skills for the

future of their careers Model effective behaviour of how to function in business Ask questions to encourage thought & growth Share work-related experiences that will help the mentee to grow Act as a sounding board & provide feedback on observed behaviour


What does a Mentor do?


Mentee’s business results or performance as this is their responsibility Responsible for all manner of wellbeing of a mentee Driving the process for the mentee


A Mentor is not responsible for


The mentoring initiative to last for 12 months Mentors attend an introduction session Attend a contracting session Meet monthly for one hour Prepare for the meetings Complete a final report


Mentors Time Involvement


Participation is voluntary Mentors are selected on their track records Mentors have positive communication & listening skills Mentoring relationship is clearly understood by all involved Contact between the mentorship teams is specified The program is evaluated to ensure it continues to develop Mentees have a choice from a variety of qualified mentors Mentees to network, discuss problems & share successes
