Think of it this way,Buying diamonds and pearls isnt the key to my heart

Saying tender words is the way to make me stayPushing me from left to right is only going to make me want to part

Words arent always enough You should remain by my side even when things start to get tough

Dying in AfricaWe say were starving

The lost their life, just fighting for a grain of riceSupermarkets scatter the streets

Imagine days on your feetAll for a grain of rice

Doctors on our doorstepThink of dragging a loved one for miles around

The streets are littered with so many teenage pregnanciesAlong with many other dangers and obscenities

Knives and guns carried for prideCars not owned, just used while on a joyride

Lives filled with dramaPolice head to foot in armour

The people you hang with is a statementFlowers and crying eyes a constant reminder of the bereavement

Pouring into the street day after dayA society crying for help

Instead sent into a shock everydayAs another town is on its own
