/9In (1)__________, Leicester Fosse formed their very own football club in a (2)__________.
They set up their home ground, called (3)__________, in 1891 and officially joined the
Midland League. It was in (4)__________, the same year that our town was granted city
status, that Leicester Fosse changed to Leicester City Football Club. The new name
brought the Club some success, especially with their goal machine (5)__________ in
the side (he scored a record 273 goals for the Club!). Fast-forward to 1949, and City
reached the FA Cup Final for the first time. But it wasn’t meant to be: a (6)__________
loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers dampened spirits and City couldn’t take home
the cup. In fact the Club have never, to this day, won the FA Cup. Even though they
have reached (7)__________ finals – this is the most times a club has reached the final
without winning it! In the 1962/63 season, the Foxes had one of their most exciting
seasons. Because of the cold, horrible (8)__________they were nicknamed then the
