Dynamic environment

We work with SCRUM, an agile software development approach. This implies a close team work, leads to quick results and a lot of knowledge sharing. With this approach, we spin out great features for our customers at a very fast pace, leading to better products with every iteration. This speed allows us to pick up the ideas from every team member very fast. When will your ideas be implemented in our products?

Living in Chemnitz

Chemnitz

With more than 240.000 inhabitants, Chemnitz is the third-largest city in the state of Saxony. With its rich industrial heritage, the numerous cultural institutions and the beautiful ore mountains beginning directly at the city gates, Chemnitz is the right place for a fulfilling professional and private life. The prices for housing are low, and a comprehensive child care infrastructure allows a very good combination of work and family.

Chemnitz

ChemnitzOur office is close to the campus of Chemnitz University of Technology and the city center. This allows us to enjoy the amenities of the campus, e.g. the canteen with a daily choice of fresh food. Commuting to work is also very convenient, as our office is easily reachable by train, bus, car and bike. Our office itself welcomes you with the possibility to relax in between, e.g. while playing a match of table tennis or enjoying a cup of free coffee or cappuccino..

16

Family life With a large offer of schools and kindergartens, child-care offers that are open until the afternoon and a lot of green spaces for relaxation, Chemnitz is an excellent location for families. The BASELABS team would be happy to assist you in finding the right care for your kids.

Sports & Outdoor Chemnitz is the entrance to the ore mountains (“Erzgebirge”), the low mountain range on the border between Germany and Czech Republic. The oar mountains and the neighboring Saxon Switzerland National Park (“SächsischeSchweiz”) are full of beautiful spots for outdoor activities of any kind, like hiking, climbing, biking and fishing.

Living expenses in Chemnitz are low

The cost of living vary strongly in different regions in Germany

The map shows the regional price index for a typical basket of consumer goods. Dark red implies a relatively high regional price for the goods in the basket, light colors a low regional price. In consequence, persons with a relatively high income living in an area with a low regional price index spend a lower share of their income for the goods in the basket.
