Planning security through self-evident series of tests
As the cooling time is dependent on shape, material, surface and thickness of the workpiece, cooling curves and thereby the required length of the tunnel are determined in our testing facilities.
Additionally, we optimize the cooling process with different arrangements of nozzles, air speed at the nozzle exits and cooling air temperatures through simulation and tests. Based on comprehensive test results we guarantee a cooling solution which is precisely adapted to specific production requirements thus ensuring highest standards of quality and efficiency.

The choice of cooling medium whether water-cooled or air-cooled systems depends on availability.

cooling by use of available cold water
The WKT series requires a cold or cooling water network with a temperature level under the desired workpiece temperature. Cold / cooling water is supplied to a heat-exchanger, which in turn cools the air. The cooled air exiting is transported to adjustable nozzles which blow onto the workpiece.
series dVt
cooling with classical refrigeration circuit
Here an integrated active refrigeration circuit is responsible for the required heat removal. The advantage of this version is that almost unlimited cooling temperatures can be created and a process which is also almost independent of ambient temperature can be realized.
