Introduction using found film as a practice
3 x 30 mins in rotation
Cutting and splicing 8mm film
Layering transparency film and rephotographing
Photo montage/collage
Collaborative exhibition
Possibility of having a collaborative exhibition in May for those who are interested
I will also do a few more specific workshops throughout the year concentrating on certain aspects that we have skimmed over in the
workshops
Stan Brakhage – Mothlight Cameraless film
“Over the lightbulbs there’s all these dead moth wings, and I ... hate that. Such a sadness; there must surely be something to do with that. I tenderly picked them out and start pasting them onto a strip of film, to try to... give them life again, to animate them again, to try to put them into some sort of life through the motion picture machine.”
