New GPS Fields in Vehicle Maintenance
• GPS ID – Pulls a list of available GPS units directly from WW GPS
• Once one is assigned to a vehicle, it will disappear from the listing. Only allows a 1-to-1
relationship between a vehicle and GPS unit.
• GPS Label – Open text field that defaults to the GPS ID but can be changed to represent a
friendly name for the GPS unit when looking at the GPS Vehicle Map.
• Update Mileage from GPS – This will allow the mileage on the vehicle to automatically update
based on the miles driven in a day.
• You must populate the vehicle’s mileage to provide a starting point. Then a task will run nightly to
add the miles driven that day to the total mileage for that vehicle.
• GPS/VRM color –This color will show on the vehicle label on the GPS map and is also used in
the Visual Route Manager to color code a tech’s appointments.
• This color field is the same field you see in the employee lookup table. It will default automatically
once you select a username in the “Assigned To” field. Updating the color in Vehicle Maintenance
will update it in the Employee Lookup table and vice versa.
• New Columns on Vehicle Maintenance – Added Username, GPS ID, and Color to the main
Vehicle Maintenance screen.
• These features are available for only for WorkWave GPS.
