CoMO’s Advocacy Toolkit has been designed to help you prepare forWorld Meningitis Day, which is held on 24th of April each year. 

Our voices are stronger together. Through telling patient stories,raising awareness of the signs and symptoms and increasingknowledge of available vaccines, World Meningitis Day raises theglobal profile of meningitis and shares important information withmillions of people worldwide. With the theme, Defeat Meningitis, we will be highlighting: why it isso important we defeat meningitis; what everyone can do to protectthemselves; and what everyone can do to reduce the impact on thoseaffected. This toolkit contains the campaign's key messages, infographics in 10languages, a factsheet, an editable factsheet, social media tiles, logos,social media banners, and suggested social media posts. Meningitis can have a life-changing and permanent impact. Aftereffects can include:

Estimates suggest thatover 20 million years ofhealthy life were lost todeath or disability frommeningitis in 2017.

Safe and effective vaccines are available to protect against the mostcommon types of meningitis.
