Shekinah Jewish

Oh, the power of your steady presence

Sweeping through the soul’s journey!

Although you are invisible and unseen

You come to dwell among the people

As a guide through the long wilderness,

A light of assurance and remembrance.

Your spirit resides in the Tabernacle

And in meeting places of sour with divinity.

In you, Shekinah, is found the paradox

Of your remoteness and your nearness.

Today: Shekinah resides within

the tabernacle of myself.

The World of Gender

Question:

What does “Passing” mean?

Answer: Passing refers to a transgender person’s

ability to be correctly perceived as the gender they identify as, and beyond that, not to be perceived as transgender.

The appropriateness of the term and the desire to blend into cisgender society is debated in the transgender community. Those who “pass” often experience significantly less harassment

than those who are visibly transgender.
