(Our minister was unexpectedly appointed as a commissioner to General Assembly this weekend.) God’s Extravagant Grace Sunday, June 12, 10:30 a.m. Come for 10:10 a.m. and join around the sanctuary piano for a by-request hymn sing. The Rev. Cheryl Horne will preach on Luke 7:36 – 8:3. (Our minister will be preaching at the anniversary service of Sand Hill Presbyterian Church.) Holding the Eagle Feather Sunday, June 19, 10:30 a.m. On this Aboriginal Sunday, the sermon will explore the spiritual discipline of listening to the Creator and to each other. The St. Andrew’s Baroque Ensemble will contribute to our worship. Then a congregational meeting. An Outdoor Service Sunday, June 26, 10:30 a.m. We will set up chairs outside, but bring your more comfortable lawn chair if you wish, and join under the open sky in God’s praise. We will enjoy an offering by the hand bell choir. Followed by a BBQ – come one, come all! And … Morning Bible Study Thursday June 16, 10 a.m. The apostle Paul concludes his intimate letter to the Christians of Philippi with the assurance ‘And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19). Join us in St. Andrew’s Hall as we explore this blessing. Congregational Meeting Sunday, June 19, 11:45 a.m. The ‘reviewed’ financial statements will be received, and a comprehensive plan for maintaining and developing the church building will be considered. Members and adherents are urged to attend – sandwiches will be provided. (The materials will be available Sunday June 12.) The Women's Missionary Society Monday, June 20, noon. An end of year pot luck lunch in the Portsmouth Village home of the Cossars. Around 1 p.m. Holly Turnbull will speak about her recent trip to Israel and Palestine. A Night at the Silent MoviesThursday June 23, Friday June 24, 7:30 p.m. in St. Andrew’s HallCarry On Sergeant (1928), filmed in Trenton and Kingston will be screened and accompanied by John Hall on a piano used for its premiere at the Regent Cinema in Picton. Tickets are $10 – towards new choir gowns. Tickets available Sundays or through the Church Office.

Breakfasts on the LawnIn July, St. Andrew’s will be beginning a new outreach initiative. Last autumn, during our congregational discussions, many supported a call to bring the inside of the church outside, and to share God’s love by sharing company and a meal with others on the lawn.On the first four Sundays of July, we will be meeting on the lawn to enjoy a light breakfast of fruit, muffins and

beverages with anyone who joins us. You are invited – 9:30 – 10 a.m. – and support this new opportunity to be St. Andrew’s beyond the sanctuary!Prayers …
