Welcome to Worship and Celebration!

Welcome! As we gather for worship today, we rejoice in God’s many blessings. With David, we can say to God, “I will thank you forever, because of what you have done. In the presence of the faithful I will proclaim your name, for it is good” Psalm 52:9. We’re glad you’re here!

If you have an item of praise or a prayer request, please take a card from the pew rack entitled “The Ministry of Intercessory Prayer,” ill in out, and place it in the offering plate or hand it to the Pastor. Individuals will stay on the prayer list for six weeks. If they need to be on the list longer, please fill out a new request card.

On August 18th we will be starting up our 252 Basics curriculum again for our kids! This Fall we will be kicking off with the theme of “Stuck Like Glue.” It is very important as kids grow up for them to understand the importance of friendship as they walk with Jesus. “Stuck Like Glue” is about friendship and how we need friends! Parents…please pick up your connect information near the bulletin board and walk along side of your kids as they learn about friendship!

CRIB this Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

There has been a slight change in the plans for the Woodmen on August 17th. We will be going at 11:30 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. Only members are allowed in at 10:00 on Saturdays. We will still be having a cookout at the woodmen and will stay longer than previously planned. We hope to see all of you there as we have a great time together! Price is still $10 unless you are already a member.

College Cookout August 13th @ 6:30On August 13th we will be hosting a college cookout at the Hobgood’s. The goal of the cookout is to discuss ways in which you, as the college student, can best be served by La Grange Free Will Baptist Church. We understand that some of you will be staying on campus most of the time and that some of you will be a lot closer. Please make plans to come hang out with us and give us your thoughts! We want them! See you there!

RESPONSIBILITIES. We all have them. But we don't all take them as seriously as we ought to. Wouldn't it be great if we all took responsibility for the things we are responsible for? Wouldn't it be great if you took responsibility for everything you are responsible for? Whether you are the most responsible person you know or the reason for the 'IR' in IRRESPONSIBLE, you'll find some invaluable insights in this four-part series with Andy Stanley, TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE.

September 8th – “Let the Blames Begin”September 15th – “The Disproportionate Life”September 22nd – “This is No Time to Pray”September 29th – “Embrace Your Response Ability”
