PE - With Mrs Quinn❏ Online: Discover Basketball with Mrs Quinn❏ O�ine:

1. Dribbling: bouncing while running is also called dribbling. Dribble the ball 10 meters (10 big steps) , turnaround and come back. Dribble the ball and change direction, run to the right, change direction andrun to the left. Dribble right handed for 5m and then change to your left hand for 5m.

2. Dribble in and out of some cones (you may use shoes as cones to dribble around). See how fast youcan go up and back, see if you or a family member can beat your time.

3. Overhead pass: Throw the ball with both hands from behind your head. You want to throw it highenough that it goes over the head of your opponent. If you do not have someone to practice this with,do your overhead pass against a wall.

4. Pivoting: Pivoting is used in basketball when you stop with the ball but you need to change yourdirection to pass it to your team mate. Dribble the ball and stop. Once stopped, keep one foot on theground. With the other foot, lift it and turn yourself around to change direction.
