Possible Introduction:

Over the past twenty years, obesity rates among children have quadrupled. Now, nearly 25 million children are overweight or obese. Two of the direct causes of this alarming epidemic are candy and soda machines. Even though installing candy and soda machines in the cafeteria could raise much needed funds for our school, we should not have them because the negative effects outweigh the possible positive ones. Installing these sugar shacks in our cafeteria is a bad idea because they increase students’ weight, decrease their health, and create discipline problems.
