INTRODUCTION

Step 1 — Sort

Unnecessary items have beenremoved from the area (furniture,storage, things on walls...)

Any incomplete work has beencompleted or removed to beresolved separately.



Step 3

A red tag is used to hold items requiring decisions.

Step 4

Work surfaces, drawers and storageareas do not have items in or onthem that don't belong.



Step 5 — Straighten

All work surfaces, storage areas and equipment are clearly marked and well organized.

Step 6

Step 7

Incomplete work or items requiring special attention are separated and clearly marked.

Step 8

Standard information boards have been established.

For measurement and management information.



Step 9 — Sweep

Floors, work surfaces, equipment and storage areas are clean.

Unsafe conditions are promptly resolved.

Especially any place where injury could occur.

Roles are identified for keeping the area clean and orderly.
