This year marks 37 years of legalization of abortion in the U.S. This means over 4000 babies lose their life each day. They will start with Holy Mass at 8 a.m. and have a Holy Hour at 6 p.m., which will consist of a living rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and other devotions. They also ask that people would consider fasting and abstaining this day. All are invited to take part. Prayer can make a difference. County night at HLS&R is March 12 Colorado County night at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is March 12. The entertainer for that night will be Toby Kieth. Rice Medical golf classic is March 20 The Rice Medical Center (RMC) Classic 13th Annual 4-player golf scramble will be held Saturday, March 20 at Eagle Lake Golf Course. Shot gun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Entry fee $200 per team, which includes meals and gift. Prizes for 1st - 3rd place teams, closest to hole, longest drive contest and hole in one prize. Proceeds to benefit Rice Medical Foundation and RMC Employee Volunteers for hospital equipment and renovations. Episcopal teaches rules to children On Sundays thru March 21 Christ Episcopal Church (CEO, 401 N. Lake at Stockbridge (the pink church), is offering a series on The Ten Commandments for all children ages 7 through 16. Each Sunday during the first half of the 10 a.m. church service the children will learn one of Godis commandments through Scripture, interactive play, drama, crafts, and stories. The first Sunday after Easter the children will give a dramatic presentation in church to share what they have learned. You are invited to bring your children each Sunday, so they can learn about Godis rules for life. For more information contact Fr. Ralph Morgan at 234-3437. Residential sewer averaging Annual residential sewer rates are determined by water consump- tion through March 15. The readings for these three months are averaged and that average will be your sewer charge for the next 12 months, starting April 1,2010. Customers are encouraged to fix any water leaks as soon as possible and limit water usage (like watering grass or washing cars) in an effort to keep water consumptions at a minimum during this time.
