Jacksonville Fla Feb ITheHamilton Hotel a tourist resort onthe banks of the Suwannee river at

I White Springs Fla was completelydestroyed by tire last night

The house was crowded with winterI

visitors and many had narrow cacaoesfrom death eight being overcome bysmoke and having to be carried fromthe burning hotel All cottages andouthouses on the hotel property werealso destroyed

The hotel was a wooden structurecontaining about fifty rooms At 930oclock the hotel together with thecottages were laid to ashes TheHamilton was the largest hotel atWhite Springs The estimated loss isabout 100000

The fire was caused by a defectiveelectric light wire from the hotelplant
