I’m looking on entering the yachting industry building on my experience of completing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship in plumbing. During that period I learned and developed numerous skills, which in turn have moulded me into a hard working team player, who likes to see a job done well. It is now my objective, however to direct these skills into the yachting industry, an industry where I hold great enthusiasm over my future career. When gaining employment my aim is to learn and gain as many skills and qualifications as possible, as well as gaining valuable sea time in order to further progress my career. And with the guidance of a knowledgeable Captain and First Mate; I believe I would be a dedicated and valuable addition to the crew.

YACHTING EXPERIENCE
-Deckhand- MY Lady Lau (65m)(21st April 2011)
Day work- Prepared for arrival of owners on board. Duties included the cleaning, polishing and waxing of all stainless steel detailing on the exterior of yacht. Washing and chamois of all other was done also. Setting up areas with sun loungers was also done as well as providing additional help with anything requested.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
- Production Operative- Jaguar Land Rover Ltd(August 2010-March 25th 2011)
I gained this position in a world renowned car production plant in my home town of Liverpool; I was part of a large team, whom where responsible for the launch of the new high specification Range Rover Evoke. In this position I gained a valuable understanding of team work and communicating with colleagues, as well as paying a fine attention to detail.
- Central heating engineer/plumber- Agua Gas Heating Ltd (September 2006- August 2010)
This was my first Employment. Duties included the service, installation and maintenance of domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems. The company had a large variation in its work, and on occasion I completed tasks such as painting, plastering and tiling. An invaluable knowledge of building and maintenance where achieved here, as well as the importance of dealing with customers specific wants and needs effectively.
- Bar assistant- The Blenheim Lakeside Hotel (part time weekend work 2006–2010)
This employment was based in a small hotel in my home town of Liverpool. Duties including the serving of drinks and snacks, cleaning down and keeping the bar area tidy, and cashing up the cash registers. Liaising and communicating with customers was a significant aspect of the job, and dealing with specific requirements was essential.
