ANTYFOULING
ANTI - FOULING PAINTS Sea-Line®
Anti - fouling paints - used to protect the hull from fouling caused by algae and shells. Also serves to protect against water and the marine atmosphere. Anti-fouling paint selection depends on the type of boat you have and the body of water on which you plan to sail. Depending on the level of water salinity and temperatures in the region, select anti-fouling with suitable biocides. When choosing paint, you should also pay attention to the material your boat is made of, and the speed at which it moves.

REPAIR KIT
RESINS Sea-Line®
Resins are use to repair damage - laminating, gluing and sealing cavities. Resin can also be used in the process of rebuilding the boat, and serves to strengthen the glass-reinforced polyester. The resin is selected depending on the type of work to be done. You can choose between epoxy and polyester resins.Epoxy resin is suitable for repairing laminate because it has a great grip and does not absorb water. It is recommended for bonding and laminating elements that require high resistance, above and below the water line. The main advantages of epoxy resin include high strength, better adhesion and greater resistance to damage from water.Polyester resin is used for quick, mainly aesthetic mechanical repairs. The advantages of polyester resin include a lower price, quick drying/hardening time, lower exorthermic peak and easier processing. It is recommended for laminating and repairing above the water line, in components that do not require high strength.

Sea-Line® - Damage and hole repair
Before patching any holes, you must fi rst decide which type of material to use: polyester or epoxy resin. For example, the Sea-Line® Polyester Repair Set has a low cost, is easy to use and works quickly; however, you must keep in mind that the product has a lower staying-power. With the polyester repair set, you can make simple repairs to parts that are unencumbered in terms of construction. Do not use it below the water line.
For use below the water line, or for when the damage is more serious, your best choice is the Sea-Line® Epoxy Repair Set. Using the epoxy set, you will get a surface with greater mechanical resistance, as well as better protection against the damaging eff e-cts of water, thanks to the properties of the epoxy resin.
Carefully prepare the surface to carry out the repairs:• Remove all of the damaged material. • Bevel the damaged area, using a minimum slant factor of x 10. For example, if the hull has a 5mm thick laminate, cham-fer it with a radius of 50 mm from the edge of the hole (if possible).• Finish off with coarse sandpaper, such as P40-P100, to ache-ive a rough surface better suited for the adherance of the resin.• Clean and remove grease from the surface using Sea-Line®
Cleaner.Proper preparation of the suface area is essential, as it will ensure that the patch properly and strongly adheres to the damaged area. When you need to repair bigger damage or when you don’t have access to both sides of the laminate, you must used a backer, otherwise known as a base. This will be the foundation on which you will place the repair materials. If you aren’t going to remove the base from the area to be repaired, use: • waterproof plywood permeated with resin or a suitable wa-terproof varnish• a panel made of the material you intend to use for the re-pair• ready-to-paste, multifaceted laminate prepared earlier in a mold.
After placing the specially prepared base for the repair inside, pull it tight using a string and then glue it to the interior of the laminate (behind the hole) using Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler. In doing so, you obtain a supporting structure that forms the basis for further repairs.
Trim fi berglass corresponding to the size of the damaged area. Start with the largest and, by successive layers, fi nish with the last-the smallest. Arrange them in order to laminate, so that you do not become confused later. Applying them the same way-starting with the largest fi rst and ending with the smalles-will help you to avoid an excess of fi lling, in the form of bubbles. This is essential for when you will be grinding.
If you use roving cloth, apply it crisscrossed at a 45° angle to the previously applied layer. Thanks to this kind of application, you will obtain a radial arrangement of fi bers, oriented so that the fabric carries a larger load.
When laminating, always use disposable gloves and masks to avoid breathing in harmful fumes; if you will be laminating the ceiling as well, make sure to wear safety glasses. The ideal tempe-rature in which to laminate is 16-20°C (60-68°F). Using the scale
found on the lid of the repair kit, prepare a measured amount of resin and hardener in the correct proportions.
Before placing the fi rst piece of prepared mats or fabrics, paint the surface of the area to be repaired with resin. Next, place the prepared patches on the repair surface in successive order. Smooth each respective layer after placing, in order to remove all air bubbles. After everything hardens, grind the repair area and then apply fi ller and paint.

Sea-Line® - Filling in holes
Before making minor boat repairs, degrease the surface with Sea-Line® Cleaner. Next, prime the area designated for pain-ting or fi lling cavities. If the surface is made of steel or aluminum, prime using Sea-Line® Anti-corrosive Epoxy Primer. For laminate surfaces, use Sea-Line® Lightprimer Epoxy Primer. If the surface is wooden, prime with Sea-Line® Woodprimer Epoxy Primer.
Epoxy-based paint primers have better penetrating pro-perties, thus providing extra protection to damaged areas. In addition, they are characterized by greater adhesion to the base surface as well as to topcoats such as fi llers and paints. Sea-Line® paint primers can be used for both priming and fi lling in the later stages of the repair or painting.
In light of the properties of epoxy fi ller-namely, a lack of water absorption - it should be used for all repairs. Optionally, you can choose to use polyester fi ller , but only for repairs done above the water line.
Polyester fi ller is easier to handle due to its being less hard than epoxy fi ller; however, this gives it a lower mechanical strength. Because of shrinkage and cracking of the surface, as well as the fact that polyestery fi ller contains talc - a common fi ller in this type of fi ller--mutltiple applications are required.
On the other hand, epoxy fi ller is harder than its polyester counterpart, thus providing better adhesion to the application site. In addition, epoxy fi ller has a longer “life,” again eliminating the need for multiple applications. With epoxy fi llers, you can fi ll in defects - such as holes and gaps - in LPS (polyester-glass laminate) in a single application, avoiding the multiple overlapping required when using polyester fi llers.
When in need of epoxy fi ller, you can choose from Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler, Sea-Line® Light Epoxy Filler, and Sea-Line® Epoxy Filler with Glass Fiber. For small and medium damage, use Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler. Its carefully selected proper-ties ensure maximum mechanical strength for the fi ll.
Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler is ready to work with fi ve hours after application in a temperature of 20oС. This dramatically reduces repair time, while maintaining the highest quality standar-ds. Thanks to the fact that epoxy fi ller does not require additional protection from the weather, especially water, you can perform later phases of repair at any time.
You can use Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler to quickly re-pair:
• cracks and scratches• abrasions, on a surface that is not too large• surface damage (of an average depth)• easily accessible areas that do not require spending a long time on shaping the work surface.
Sea-Line® Universal Epoxy Filler is a product that gets very hard, so it should not be used for any repairs involving wood. In the process of sanding, softer material may become separated from the fi ller. Optionally, you can choose to use Sea-Line® Universal Polyester Fil-ler, for repairs done above the water line.
Due to its very low specifi c gravity, Sea-Line® Light Epoxy Filler has many special uses. For one, you can use it to repair all kinds of damage to large areas, particular if they are vertical. The light epoxy fi ller creates a thick coating in just one application. It is also characterized by negligible shrinkage. The “lifetime” of the mixture is 50 minutes, so you’ll be able to smooth out large areas with no trouble. It is ideal for all kinds of repairs that require a lon-ger processing time, including curves, edges or corners.
Optionally, for repairs done above the water line, you can choose to use Sea-Line® Light Polyester Filler.
If you need to obtain a large increase in strength, especially in the structural areas of the boat, use Sea-Line® Epoxy Fiberglass Filler. It is characterized by increased strength and is deal for fi l-ling large and deep cavities. You will get a surface that has a high mechanical strength. Thanks to glass fi bers - with properly chosen lengths - being in component A, you can grind it to an ideal state without needing to apply any fi nishing fi llers.

MANUAL
Optionally, for repairs above the water line, you can choose to use Sea-Line® Polyester Glassfi ber Filler.
Just as is the case with all repairs, you need to:• Clean the damaged area of all loose pieces of the old coa-ting• Bevel the area, appropriately to the size of the damage (such as a hole or gap)• Polish using sandpaper with a grammage that corresponds to the size of the damage, so as to ensure that the fi ller will properly adhere to the surface• Use Sea-Line® Cleaner to clean and degrease the surface.
After priming the surface and choosing the appropriate fi l-ler, it’s time to proceed to the next step of the repair.
Carefully measure the ingredients for the fi ller, mix the base and the hardener, and apply with a soft spatula. Apply the fi ller in a way that pushes air out from its interior. As you continue, use fl uid movements to create a thick, uniform, unbroken layer of applied fi ller. Proper application of the fi ller will allow you to directly apply paint; after sanding and preparing the surface, of course.
If you do not plan to paint a large area, you can use the Sea-Line® Gelcoat Repair Kit to fi ll in small cracks or defects in the gelcoat surface - as long as you intend to do so above the water line. This kit contains a topcoat in the color RAL 9003, which is the most popular white color. After drying, it is not sticky, creating the perfect barrier for water and UV radiation. Secure the applied gelcoat repair kit with sticky tape, removing excess material, so that the surface becomes dry, clean and smooth after drying. For repairs on vertical surfaces or areas with larger damage - use Sea-Line® Gelcoat Filler. Due to its viscosity and thixotropy, will not run down. Then, after sanding and removing excess material from the re-pair area, use Sea-Line® S1 Polishing Paste for the polishing tre-atment.

The fi rst step after you’ve completed repairs and fi lled eve-rything in is to grind the surface. Depending on its condition, start with heavyweight papers from Р200 to Р600. Next, during the fi rst grinding, use coarse sanding paper so as to remove surplus or residue - causedby the process of fi lling - from the surface.
Finally, sand the surface with low gradation paper; for example, from Р1200 to Р2000. If you decide that not all sites are adequately preparing, apply fi ller again and grind it until you get the desired, smooth surface. While sanding, remember to change the paper gradation by 2x. For example, if you use Р320 paper, follow up by using P600 paper and then P1200 paper after that. The majority of uneven, uncut or incorrectly topped up space will appear on the last coat of varnish.
To paint, use:1. A brush or roller – this is the most popular method that of-
ten brings better results than the method of spraying. Thanks to a paint thinnner designed by Sea-Line® especially for this type of work, you get a very high-quality surface. In order for the surace to be ideal, for the application of paint use:- Brushes with soft, medium or long hair.- A velvet or mohair roller with a short fall.- Do not use sponge rollers, as they can be dissolved.
2. The spraying method, most commonly used by specialized workshops, requires a properly prepared place for the applica-tion of coatings. The room must be adequately ventilated and free from dust that can settle on the surface. Using a paint gun also requires a knowledge of proper technique, so that the surface will not become covered with stains, haze, dust, or „orange peel.”Clean and degrease the prepared, polished surface with Sea-Line® Cleaner and apply one (1) to three (3) layers of primer.
• Rozcieńczalnika do wyrobów Poliuretanowych Sea-Line®
Be sure to use a suitable epoxy primer. Choose one that corre-sponds to the type of material from which the unit is made. • Polyester-glass lamiate(LPS/GFK) - Sea-Line® Lightprimer GFK Epoxy Primer.• Steel or aluminum – Sea-Line® Anti-corrosive Epoxy Primer.• Wood – Sea-Line® Epoxy Woodprimer or diluted Sea-Line® Clear Coat Polyurethane Varnish, which plays the role of primer. In the case of wood, the deciding factor in terms of how many layers of primer you should apply is the surface’s amount of absorption. The more layers and the more diluted the primer, the better the penetration and security of the wood surface.
In order to properly dilute the paint primer, use Sea-Line® Thinner for Epoxy Products or Sea-Line® Thinner for Polyurethane Products. The required amount of thinner (products are only pre-diluted) and - depending on the method and type of application - the re-quired thickness of one layer, can be found in the product data sheet. On the data sheet, you can also fi nd information about the minimum and maximum time between applying the next coat of paint without sanding between each applied layer. Thanks to the means of applying subsequent layers without needing to sand in between in layer, the painting process can be carried out within just a few hours, and without having to remove the old tape coa-tings from around the edges and re-secure them. Before painting, it is essential to „cut off places” that will act as the edges of the paint application. Of course, you will need to use high-quality TROTON Paint Tapes, which:
• Well and fi rmly adhere to the surface to prevent paint from leaking underneath them.• Do not break down when you remove the varnish applica-tion.• Do not leave diffi cult-to-remove adhesive on the surface af-ter removal.
The tape will need to be removed before the paint har-dens; therefore, you will need to plan the appropriate time to do so while not damaging the painted edge during the disposal of the tape.
Painting
Preparation. Mix together the following ingredients in the correct proportions, as indicated by the manufacturer: A + B + thinner component. Do not use substitutes - they have diff erent chemical structures and properties that may cause a disturbance in the paint and damage the entire painted surface.
To measure out the ingredients in the correct proportions, use a „GAC CUP”, on which there is a scale that will allow you to measure easily and without random errors.
Before measuring, you must fi rst mix each component in its container, so that the heavier solid particles - which may have settled on the bottom of the container - are uniformly blended with the other particles to form a uniform consistency.
After a proportional mixing the correct ingredients, pour paint into a paint cuvette and leave it for about 20 to 30 minutes. In the case of spray paint, leave it in the container for 10 to 15 minutes. This time is essential for:
• Starting the reaction between the base and hardener.• Removing air blubbles from the mixture, which then facilita-tes the application of paint.
Applying spray paint requires a properly prepared room. If you are going to paint the boat using spray paint in a „not quite prepared” hangar with a concrete fl oor, it is worth splashing the fl oor with water before painting. This will catuse dust to get cau-ght on it, rather than on the boat being painted; however, remem-ber not to exceed the recommended humidity during application. If you’re going to be painting outdoors, remember not to directly expose the surface to sunlight, as this may cause serious damage to the paint job.
After applying the appropriate and recommended amount of primer, and after waiting for it to fi nish drying, re-grind the surface using grit sandpaper P1200 - P2000. Remove all stains, smooth out uneven areas, etc. Next, clean and degrease with Sea-Line® Cleaner to achieve the perfect surface on which to apply a topcoat.
You can cover such a prepared surface - above the water line - with colored Sea-Line® Polyurethane Lacquers. To preserve the transparency on wooden surfaces, use Sea-Line® Clear Polyu-rethane Varnish.
Sea-Line® Polyurethane Coatings come in the following co-lors:
• RAL 9010 - White• RAL 1015 - Cream• RAL 3003 – Red• RAL 5015 – Light Blue• RAL 5003 – Blue• RAL 6029 - Green• RAL 7000 - Grey • RAL 9005 - Black
MANUAL
37
Sea-Line® Polyurethane Coatings need to be supplemented with a suitable thinner. The corresponding proportions are found in the paint’s data sheet. Depending on the type of application method that you used, choose from the following products:
• Sea-Line® Brush Thinner for Polyurethane Products - if you used a paint roller or brush - 15-25% dilution
• Sea-Line® Spray Thinner for Polyurethane Products - SPRAY - if you used spray paint - 45-55% dilution
The use of diff erent solvents will provide us with an ideal surface, as diluents aff ect the fl uidity characteristics of the paint or the evaporation rate. Always use the manufacturer’s paint thin-ners.
In preparation for painting – for which the ideal tempera-ture is about 20°C - mix the following ingredients using the cor-rect proportions: A + B + thinner component, as indicated by the manufacturer. If you want to use all the material in the can, there is enough room in the package to refi ll the hardener and thinner. If you need to use a diff erent amount of paint, use a GAC Cup to measure the correct aspect ratio, which can be found on the cup itself; this will allow you to measure the correct amount of the individual components easily and without random errors.
Before measuring, you must fi rst mix each component in its container, so that the heavier solid particles - which may have settled on the bottom of the container - are uniformly blended with the other particles to form a uniform consistency.
After proportionally and correctly mixing the ingredients, pour the paint into a cuvette and, in the case of an application by brush or roller, leave it for about 20 to 30 minutes. In the case of spray paint is left in the container for 10 to 15 minutes. This time is essential for:
• Starting the reaction between the base and hardener.• Removing air bubbles from the mixture, which then facilita-tes the application of paint
Apply a minimum of two (2) layers of paint - a maximum of four (4) - in order to obtain a very high thickness. You can also make the hardened paint shine with Sea-Line® S2 Polishing Agent. In the case of the formation of paint blemishes, after sanding with paper P-1200/P-2000 remove the resulting matte with Sea-Line® S1 Polishing Paste.
Optionally, you can use polyurethane varnishes below the water line, but they do not protect against algae and crustaceans that may attach to the bottom of the boat. This use of paint is applied on boats only for the time of its use or for racing boats.
Non-slip Surface
With the fi nish tape cut off the space designated for non-slip surface. Packaging powder contains 20 grams of lubricant, and is a quantity to be 750 ml polyurethane. The powder should be mi-xed in proportion to the amount of prepared paint. Keeping all the rules of conduct during application, stirring often to no powder sank to the bottom, then applied it with a roller or brush. Too small or large amount of powder in the mixture may result in obtaining improper and unsightly surface is recommended to perform the test before the fi nal painting on the body. Anti-slip Powder:
• Does not discolour paint; absorbs the color of the hull. • Can be used with transparent varnish on wood surfaces.• Is easy to keep clean.• Is made up of soft pellets, so it does not hurt or chafe skin if it comes in contact with the powder.• Is not washed out by water.• Provides long-lasting paint coverage and does not chip.
Securing the Bottom
Below the water line, use Sea-Line® Anti-fouling Paint, to protect against fouling. Sea-Line® Antifouling Paint is a self-po-lishing paint, designed for vessels with a maximum speed of 40 knots (around 73km/h). Antifouling paint formulated with a base of resin, copper oxides and bioacids releases the active ingredients while at the same times preventing fouling. For proper protection of the hull, apply the antifouling coating about 5 cm above the real or anticipated water line.
Apply Sea-Line® Anti-fouling to the surface previously pre-pared with base paints, as well as cleaned and degreased using Sea-Line® Cleaner. Thoroughly mix and pour into a cuvette. First, apply a stripe of ± 20 cm to the most vulnerable places. That is, on the:
• Water line - due to temperature and sunlight, the most li-chens occur here.• Beak, keel, rudder and ballast - the most vulnerable to me-chanical damage such as scratches, they are also make up the rubbable edge, which causes the more active parts to quickly be washed out.• Exposed locations - scratch damage, etc.
Securing these places with an additional layer of paint will extend the proper operation of the entire hull because of the increase in its thickness.Next, paint the entire surface evenly with a layer of Sea-Line® Anti-fouling. The thickness of the painted layer will aff ect the duration of protection; therefore, painting over a larger area than that re-commended by the manufacturer will cause a rapid loss of the anti-fouling’s properties. When applying the paint:
• Apply a layer of uniform thickness.• Strictly comply with effi ciency standards.• Pay attention to the surrounding temperature and humidi-ty.
After applying the fi rst coat of paint, remove the painting tape from the edge of the area, as you will only be able to apply further paint layers after the fi rst is fully hardened. The hardening time for Sea-Line® Anti-fouling is from 5 to 8 hours, depending on the surrounding temperature and humidity, as well as the thi-ckness of the applied layer. Depending on the environment and your needs, if the boat will be used intensively for a long period, it is best for you to apply 2 or 3 layers of paint.
Be sure to use the boat painted with anti-fouling within a maximum of six months, but not earlier than 12 hours after app-lying the last coat.

Sea-Line® - Eradicating spiders and sunshine
Troublesome, tiny black scratches in the shape of spide-rwebs or radially spreading threads on our fi berglass boats. They appear on the laminate as a result of «old age» or «fatigue»; becau-se of mechanical damage, such as an accident or bump; or due to slightly weak, thin or improper construction. In that case, tension, a heavy load and LPS defl ection that occur during work are too much, which leads to cracks and micro-damages on the surface.
Prior to their removal, you need to determine what cau-sed them to appear. If it is a design fl aw, it is essential that you strengthen the entire damaged area by applying one or more lay-ers of construction resin with fi ller; ultimately, you will need to replace the entire damaged element with a new one. It is only after suitable reinforments have been made, that you can start the ac-tual repairing process itself.
In the case of single or small clusters of scratches, the ideal way to repair them is to use a fi ne-tipped screwdriver, chisel or another suitably powerful tool. With the help of the tool, follow along each line inch by inch, expanding it until you reach the dee-pest place of the micro-damage. This step is absolutely essential; you must do it along all of the scratches, in order for the repair to be eff ective. This work can also be done with a sander and sand-paper, especially if the damage occurs over a large area. Be sure to pay special attention not to go too deeply, so that you do not harm the structural layer.
Once you have fi nished, degrease the prepared surface using Sea-Line® Cleaner. If the repair aff ects a large area, cover the repair area with Sea-Line® Lightprimer GFK and apply a compatible fi ller. Fill small cavities with Sea-Line® Gelcoat Filler or use the Sea-Line® Gelcoat Kit with Topcoat. At the end of this stage, grind and prepare the site of damage for painting and polishing.
Minor damage to the surface, small scratches or gelcoat surface defects, can be fi lled using Sea-Line® Repair Kit. The kit contains a topcoat in the color RAL 9003 (white). It is not sticky after drying, thus creating a perfect barrier to water and UV radia-tion. Tha actual application itself is not a problem. On vertical sur-faces, you can use Sea-Line® Gelcoat Filler, which is a thick, heavily thixotropic gelcoat.
In the event that you plan to cover the yacht with a paint system, use epoxy or polyester fi ller, which you will then need to cover with varnish. Be sure to remember that polyester systems, including gelcoats, have no direct adhesion to epoxy products..
In preparing for the repair, mix the gelcoat products using the correct proportions, and apply the mixture with a soft spa-tula. Secure the applied gelcoat repair kit with tape, making sure to remove excess material, so that surface becomes hard, clean and shiny after drying. Then, after sanding and further removing excess material, Sea-Line® Polishing Paste S1 to polish the repair area.
Sea-Line® - Osmosis Treatment
The fi rst task is to remove all the old layers of varnish and paint, including antifouling. During this work, be sure to protect yourself – wear gloves, a mask and safety glasses.
Purifi ed to clean, the gel coat surface will reveal the visible eff ects of osmosis. Drying the hull of the boat is the next stage of this. In order to do it properly, follow these steps:
1. Bore all of the blisters.2. After opening the blisters, __________________________.3. Wash the prepared hull several times with hot water or hot steam from a steam cleaner.
4. Remember that no water can remain in the bilges, so tho-roughly clean them.5. Instert the hull into a hangar for the winter - a heated one would be ideal - and let the accumulated water in the the hull evaporate. During the winter, it is good to repeat the hot water washing. You can also heat the hull from the inside by inserting a heater.
After cleaning the hull:1. Degrease the hull using Sea-Line® Cleaner.2. Paint the entire hull with 1-2 layers of epoxy primer (Sea-Line® Lightprimer GFK).3. Fill in the holes that you drilled into the blisters on the hull - as well as other defects - with Sea-Line® Light Epoxy Primer. For bigger damage, use Sea-Line® Epoxy Filler with Glass Fiber. Sand off the excess so that the bottom is perfectly fl at and smooth.4. Apply two (2) coats of epoxy base Sea-Line® Antiosmosis HS or four (4) coats of epoxy base Sea-Line® Lightprimer GFK. 5. Afterwards, fi nish by applying one (1) coat of primer - Sea-Line® Lightprimer GFK.6. For below the water line, secure with Sea-Line® Antifouling Paint. For above the water line, secure with Sea-Line® Polyu-rethane Paint.

Sea-Line® - Polishing Systems
The main task of polishing pastes is to remove scratches, cracks and blemishes - or marks remaining after their removal, caused mainly by sandpaper. The Sea-Line® pastes and prepara-tions are designed to use one product from start to fi nish while completing a task. Grains used in Sea-Line® pastes rub together during the process of removing the damage, eventually leaving nothing but an even, smooth surface with very high glossiness. The pastes do not have any fi llers, so the polished surface is not altered but smoothed instead.
Polishing can be done manually or mechanically. We per-sonally recommend using polishing wool. While polishing manually does not require any additional costs - such as the purchase of additional equipment - due to its time-consuming nature, it is used rather as a spot treatment to remove minor damage during every-day use. Much better and faster results are mainly obtained using lamb fur and „mechanical” polishing. Using polishing wool guaran-tees temperature control on the polished surface, so that you do not harm the structure of the hull.
Before you begin polishing, make sure that the place is already suffi ciently hardened (e.g., the freshly painted ship side or an applied repair gelcoat). Otherwise you can damage the area irreversibly.
An improperly sanded surface after an accident or applica-tion of gel coats, requires a re-repair rather than polishing. The use of a too-large paper weight, or the improper use of sandpaper on the surface leaves indelible damage. It is best to grind the surface using movements that cross at right angles - in the form of an „X” - on the surface. Using dirty and contaminated polishing fur can also cause damage to the polished surface.
Sea-Line® polishing pastes are prepared for use, and their consistency is such that it does not require the addition of water during use. A small quantity of the paste during the fi nal stage will further increase the shine on the polished surface.
Sea-Line® - Polishing Compounds
• Sea-Line® SO Polishing Paste - removes the damage from sandpaper to P800. It is particularly recommended for use on technical and very hard gelcoats.• Sea-Line® S1 Polishing Paste - removes damage from sandpa-per to P1200. It is especially recommended for use on lacquer coatings and gelcoats, as well as for removing scratches on plexiglass or polycarbonates.• Sea-Line® S2 Polishing Milk - polishing ‘milk,’ which glosses and protects the surface, as well as removes fi ne scratches and damages incurred with usage (especially in dark areas). When using the milk, do not dilute it with water.
When polishing mechanically, our role is only to lead the de-vice to the place you are polishing - do not press the device against the surface of the device - completely rubbing in the paste. When beginning the polishing, do not apply a large amount of paste right away. The grain should be completely ground. Add more paste as needed; in this way, you save on material to be used for polishing.
The shiny surface will remain shiny for a long time, if it is further secured with Sea-Line® S3 Preparation. It is suitable for use with all types of paints and varnishes, including HS, 2K, nitro, synthetic fi bers and plastics, rubber, gelcoats, glass, mirrors, etc. It provides the perfect look, forming an extra protective coating and acting as an anti-static. In addition, it off ers additional protection,
prevents the infi ltration of dirt, and is easy to keep clean. You can use Sea-Line® S3 Preparation not only to protect
the surface after polishing, but also as a universal detergent. Rinse the soiled area with water and then wipe the surface with a clean cloth. Next, spraying the area with Sea-Line® S3 Preparation. It is best to use two cloths; one for removing dirt, and another other to polish the surface. Such maintenance does not remove the wax from the preparation, and the surface will be free of contaminants for a long time.
