Dude ranch: tucson, Arizona

Saddle up, partners! Relive the Wild West at an authentic ranch in Tucson’s rugged, rolling borderland. Hitch up your boots and hang onto your 10-gallon hat for daily horseback riding and even a chance to chase some cows in a team-penning contest! Whether we’re having a bar-b-cue, kicking up our heels at the local hoedown, swimming, fishing, or touring the museum featuring the best creepy-crawlies of the desert — it’s sure to be a good time. At night we just get started at the local watering hole, The Dog House, to shoot pool and swap tales with other outlaws. Three pieces of advice: Don’t cozy up to the cactus, be nice to the pretty ladies, and take off your spurs at night! NOTE: Not adaptive riding.

Hawaii: the Big island and Dolphin Quest

Hawaii is the place to make a lifelong connection with one of the grandest creatures of the sea. iceland: Land of Fire & ice

Iceland is home to the largest glaciers in Europe, as well as some of the world’s most active volcanoes, and is widely known as “The Land of Fire and Ice.” Reykjavík, Iceland’s capital, is a curious mix of high fashion and small hole in the wall stores featuring homemade souvenirs, clothes and jewelry. Take a train to the world famous, Blue Lagoon where we’ll go for a relaxing swim in the geothermal warm water filled with natural minerals. At the Golden Circle we can walk around the Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. On our offshore whale-watching excursion we can catch sight of whales, dolphins, and seabirds in their natural habitat. We’ll also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and visit UNESCO World Heritage site, Thinghvellir national park, considered one of the geological wonders of the world!

Billed as the USA’s best rodeo, the 100+-year-old Pendleton Round-Up includes parades, cowboy breakfasts, concerts, dancing and the spectacular Native American ceremony. And, oh yes, people also come in droves for the featured attraction, the legendary old-fashioned rodeo with its high-flying, bone-crunching events like bull riding, steer wrestling and bronco busting. As the old cowboy proverb says, “There never was a horse that couldn’t be rode; never was a cowboy who couldn’t be throwed.” After visiting the museum at Tamastslikt Cultural Institute you will understand why Pendleton is known as The Real West.

This three-park San Diego vacation is a whale of a wildlife experience! Sea World features wet ‘n’ wild shows, rides and unforgettable encounters with creatures ranging from sharks, octopuses and bottlenose dolphins to penguins, polar bears and walruses. The top-rated San Diego zoo provides up-close views of a huge variety of animals, including tigers, gorillas, pandas, hippos, koalas and Komodo dragons. south Dakota: Black Hills & Mt. rushmore

South Dakota is the land of great faces and great places. Located in the Black Hills, the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial is a large-scale sculpture of America’s most prominent Presidents carved into the granite hillside. Bison, pronghorn, coyotes, eagles and hawks are just some of the wildlife that can often be seen at the Badlands National Park, a must-see stop filled with painted canyons and photo opportunities. The Crazy Horse Memorial is the world’s largest sculpture-in-progress, and frequent drilling and mountain blasts make each visit unique. When completed, it will stand 563 feet tall by 641 feet long! Wisconsin Dells: Mt. Olympus theme & Water park

What level of support do you provide?

Our support ratio is 1 chaperone for every 3 or 4 travelers. Trips Inc. chaperones assist travelers with medications, spending money, and prompts for bathing, hygiene, dressing and using the restroom. If your traveler requires any hands-on personal care for hygiene or medical reasons, they may need to bring a personal care provider for their safety and well being. All our travelers are assessed before each trip to make sure they have the best support plan put in place for them to travel safely.

can we send a care provider with our traveler who has extra support needs?

Absolutely! We have many travelers who bring their own care providers. It is the traveler’s responsibility to provide and pay for their care provider to go on the vacation. Care providers pay the same all-inclusive package price as the traveler. The traveler and their care provider will be upgraded with their own private room.

Are your vacations wheelchair accessible?

Several of our trips are wheelchair accessible. Lift vans are also available at some destinations. Please note the symbols next to the vacation descriptions. If the traveler needs a wheelchair to keep up with the group, we can provide a Trips Inc. chaperone to assist them at an additional cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a traveler get to their destination if they live in another state?

Trips Inc. has our own travel agent on staff who will arrange air transportation from your area to the vacation destination. Since we serve travelers from every state in the country, we will meet you at, or en-route to, our final destination. While the traveler does not need to navigate the airport on their own, they do need to be able to fly unaccompanied in some cases. Trips Inc. will set up gate transfers from the airlines for our travelers with flight connections. Airline gate assistance passes can be obtained to walk your traveler through security and directly to the departure gate and we will meet your traveler upon arrival at the final destination.

How do i register for my trip?

Registering is easy! You can book a vacation on-line at tripsinc.com or fill out the registration form found inside this brochure. Once we receive the appropriate deposit you will be good to go. We accept Visa, MC and American Express (+3% credit card bank fee) or a personal check or money order. We’ll mail your confirmation letter and tour invoice immediately upon securing your spot on the trip. 3 weeks before your trip departs we’ll mail your trip itinerary, packing list, and travel logistics along with your name and luggage tags. Note: All new travelers are required to have a current profile, medical consent form & photo ID on file before their registration can be processed.

All cancellations and changes must be in writing and will be calculated as of the date it is received. Reservations will be canceled and penalties applied if necessary paperwork or full payment is not received by due date. No refunds for cancellations or delays due to weather. No refund if the traveler is denied boarding due to lack of proper identification. Incomplete disclosure of pertinent information may result in the traveler being sent home early at his or her own expense with no refund.
