Year 1 Visit to Kirkleatham Museum

Dear Parents/Carers

On Friday 10th July we are taking the Year 1 children to Kirkleatham Museum. This

visit will be linked to our work on Seaside Holidays in the Past. We will be examining

the contents of a trunk from Victorian times as well as having the opportunity to meet

the character Mr Pease who will talk to the children about travelling back in time. The

bus will leave school at 9.30am and arriving back, hopefully, in time for the end of

school at 3.15pm. It is very important that the children are punctual on that morning

as we will be leaving school soon after registration.

Children who usually have a school dinner will be provided with a packed lunch for the

trip and therefore normal dinner money should be sent to school for this week. Those

who have a packed lunch should bring their own packed lunch as usual. All of our

children will need to wear their school uniform for the visit.

There will be no charge for this visit as entrance to Kirkleatham Hall is free and

school will be providing the funds to pay for the cost of the transport, with the

support of our PTA, Friends of Ingleby Mill.

We would welcome parent helpers who have an up-to-date DBS certificate, to conform

to school safeguarding guidelines. If you are able to help, please speak to your childs

class teacher, as soon as possible.

Please complete and return the consent slip below to your childs class teacher by

Friday 3rd July.
