1. The United Kingdom (U.K.) is made up of 4 countries: England,
Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
2. Great Britain is an island containing England, Scotland and Wales.
3. Northern Ireland is not an island, but is still part of the U.K.
4. Spain is located to the south of the U.K. They are both in Europe.
5. Europe is a continent containing 50 countries.
6. Spain has borders with Portugal (to the west) and France (to the north).
7. The capital city of the U.K. is London. The currency is pounds.
8. The capital city of Spain is Madrid. The currency is euros.
9. Spain has a mixture of flat, hilly and mountainous terrain.
10. Physical geography is the natural environment of a region (things like
the mountains, beaches, forests, rivers, cliffs, rocks, weather of that place).
