BEHAVIOUR IN EXAMINATIONS

You MUST come prepared with all equipment. 2 black pens 2 sharpened HB pencils 30cm Ruler Clear pencil case

In the examination room you MUST be silent. If there is revision time – revise quietly. Once any

student has started an examination, all students must be completely silent.

There should be silence during the entire

examination, until you leave the examination room.

You must not attempt to communicate with any

other student. This will be viewed as cheating. If you break these rules, your paper will be taken from you and you will be removed from the examination room by a member of On Call

Your parents will be informed.

You will be required to take the paper again after school.

Subject – Drama

Exam

Length

The assessment will take place over the double lesson during the assessment week.

Topics to Revise

For this assessment you will be asked to create a piece of dra-ma based upon a stimulus (similar to the work that we have done recently in class). In addition you will develop and per-form in it and techniques such as ‘See, hear and experience’ and ‘What would Sir say?’ will help with this. You will also be asked to produce a short written evaluation during the lesson.

Useful

Websites

The most useful website for you to look at in preparation for this is the Drama section of the BBC Bitesize website. These pages contain lots of helpful tips on creating, performing and evaluating Drama work. The website can be found here https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/guides/zsf8wmn/revision/1

The Five Pillars

The Five Pillars of Islam are the obligations that Muslims must satisfy to live a good and responsible life and to bring them closer to God. These are:

Shahadah - sincerely reciting the declaration of faith. Salat - performing set prayers five times a day at specific times. This is a con-

stant reminder of the importance of Allah in the life of a Muslim.

Zakat - giving a portion of one's income, usually one fortieth, to help the

poor. This creates a bond between rich and poor and helps Muslims to puri-fy their wealth and keep away from greed. It is usually paid once a year.

Sawm - fasting during the month of Ramadan, for Muslims who have reached

maturity and are in good health. This helps Muslims connect with Allah, and also with those less fortunate than themselves who live with hunger daily.

Hajj - the annual pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah) made during the twelfth

month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims are expected to undertake this pil-grimage at least once in their lifetime, if they are physically able and can afford it.
