ACTIVITY 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch
?v=QlaMeNmTG6c
Watch the story of Supertato.
Can you re-tell the story to
someone in your house?
Try spotting all the “sh” and “th”
words in the story.
ACTIVITY 2
Supertato loves to save all
his friends from the Evil
Pea. He is a ‘veggie’ hero!
Draw a picture of
Supertato. Draw a big
speech bubble and write
what you think he might be
saying. Maybe you could
draw the Evil Pea, too.
What do you think he might
be saying? Have fun!
ACTIVITY 3
Evil Pea Maths
Oh no! The Evil Pea says
he is the best teacher!
He has spread lots of
Maths facts around the
supermarket but they are
not all correct. Look at
the sheet below. Can you
be like Supertato and
find the right ones to
teach the ‘veggies’ the
correct maths?
ACTIVITY 4
Are there other vegetables in the
kitchen that are superheroes? Can
you draw your very own vegetable
superhero? What will he/she look
like? What will he/she wear? When
you have drawn your picture can you
write a sentence or more about it?
You could use tricky words - he, she,
He is a Super Carrot.
He can fly through the sky. He is
very fast.
Or
She is a Super Tomato. She is
very red when she is cross. She
likes to squash Evil Pea.
ACTIVITY 5
Supertato needs your help! He
has left some subtraction
problems and we need you to
squash out the right answers!...
How? Well, you could get your
own peas – maybe not frozen, as
they will not be terribly squashy!
Alternatively, why not try
playdoh!
Try these…
10-5 =
6-2 =
4-1=
7-3=
12-6
9-9=
15-6=
16-1 =
11-4=
20-10=
Why not make up some of your
own.

ACTIVITY 6
Can you create a superhero
phone book? Draw pictures of
your favourite heroes and
then write down their phone
numbers. Remember to write
all the numbers the correct
way round!
ACTIVITY 7
On the sheet below,
count the number of
vegetables and write how
many there are, to set
them free.
Now have a go at making
your own picture of
trapped vegetables. Can
someone in your house
count them and set them
free?
ACTIVITY 8
Evil Pea has been up to
his old tricks and has
trapped some of the
superheroes.
On the sheet below,
write their names to
set them free!
ACTIVITY 9
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/helicopter-rescue
Just like Supertato goes to the
rescue, we need you to go on a
helicopter rescue! Click on the
right numbers to rescue the
people. Good luck!
ACTIVITY 10
Write a set of instructions on
how to trap the Evil Pea.
Make sure you write them in
the right order.
