    The cerebellum

-receives messages from most of themuscles in our body

-communicates with other parts of thebrain and

    -sends messages about movement and

    balance back to our body.

    The brain stem regulates

    the heart rate, breathing,

swallowing, blinking, digesting and more, itcontrols the basic

    functions of the brain.

    The Left Hemisphere of Brain

    The left hemisphere is:

    linear

    logical

    practical

rational and can perform time oriented

    activities.

    The Right Hemisphere of Brain

The right hemisphere seems to be muchmore

    The right and left hemispheres

of the brain appear to producedifferent brain functionsand

in order to perform better, synchronization of differenttypes of brain waves is

    necessary.

    24

Alpha Wavesoccurs at a frequency of 8 to 12 cycles persecond.

It is a state of quiet and resting alertness. It also indicates relaxation.

These waves forms at the diffuse Thalamo-corticalSystem in the Mid-Brain.Mostly these areas have the functions oflearning, memory, consciousness and abstract

    thinking, etc.

Most intensely recorded in the occipital region of thebrain.
