I am an industrial automation Engineer with more than 10 years of experience and having studied Power Engineering and Industrial Automation at a Diploma and Advanced Diploma level. I have control and instrumentation expertise across the field of mining, Ore Processing, Milling, Leaching, Extraction, Electrowinning, Drying, Compressors and Heat-Exchangers.
I have been involved in all project activities from conceptual design, budgets and estimate, control system and software development, project implementation, commissioning, process optimization (advanced process control) and hand over.
Some of the software I mostly used in my career so far are Siemens PCS 7, Step 7, WinCC, TIA Portal, SIMOCODE ES and Starter. Other software I worked with are Schneider Unity Pro XL and Wonderware Archest A IDE. Industrial Data Communication networks and protocols is also a strong point.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND Computer l i teracy High School I can use the following programs: Word 2016, Excel 2016 (with some VBA Experience), MATLAB (ANSI C), Simocode ES, Starter, WinCC, Step 7, PCS 7, RS Logix 5000, Schneider Unity, Wonderware Archest An IDE, Arduino IDE and many others. Technical and Mechanical I am able to use testing equipment like Multi-meters, Clamp meters, Light sources, Thermal imager cameras, Profibus tester, Oscilloscope, Tachometers, etc... I have used most of those tools when troubleshooting industrial data networks like Profibus DP and Fiber.
I have got the ability to interpret and design electrical drawings. I have done fault finding in MCC control circuits. I have worked with 110 V AC and 24 V DC control voltage.
I have worked on three-phase induction motors and their control mechanism. I have got experience configuring Micromaster 440 drives and Simocode Pro V switching devices.
I have also acquired the ability to do Endress&Hauser instruments set-up and zero calibration (level and flow transmitters). I also have got some experience in troubleshooting issues with instruments loops.
I am able to tune PID controllers (using proven tuning methods), from simple to more complex loops with big dead times. I have implemented before advance process control models, like a smith predictor, Internal Model Control (IMC), Model Predictive Control (MPC) and feedforward combined with feedback control. – I am able to make use of existing PID controllers to inter-connect them in a feedforward + feedback control set-up.
I have some moderate experience working with an Expert System (AwaRE) – using Fuzzy and De-fuzzy logics.
I have got the ability to select and specify instrumentations systems for pressure, level, temperature and flow measurement.
Control valves sizing, selection and maintenance is another area where my knowledge can be used. – Knowledge purely based on training but

I have also gained knowledge in different unit operations and unit processes (Ore handling unit, leaching unit, Crushing unit, Heat exchangers and Distillation Column). I have got the fundamental process (chemical) knowledge required from a control automation engineer. I have acquired a lot of insight knowledge while studying the advanced diploma in industrial automation with the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT). I have been taught by very experienced course presenters, and I completed the course in April 2014 being nominated graduate of the year with an average of 88%. Accuracy Having been working with PLC programs for sometimes, I have learnt and developed methods to have my programs checked and re-checked. - I played a big part in implementing internal testing standards at NAC Engineering. I have got a good sense of organization. I always start my day by putting down all my 'to do lists' and work my day aiming to complete all my tasks. Numeric I am able to use mathematical and physical laws and apply them in the work environment.
