Safety System Manifolds*

The safety valve’s control block design provides safety control and offers flexibility and functionality in one package.

Directional Control Valves

Eaton solenoid-operated directional control valves with pressure reducing stack modules eject parts at fixed velocity and pressure. They direct controlled flow to the die-height control motor to adjust die height. The valves’ soft-shift feature provides smoother control of actuator acceleration and deceleration than is achievable with conventional solenoid valves. The result is minimum hydraulic shock, more reliable systems with longer component life, and less downtime.

Gerotor/Geroler Motors

Char-Lynn low-speed, high-torque hydraulic gerotor/geroler (GG) motors deliver from 200 to 45,000 in-lbs. of torque at operating speeds up to 2,000 rpm and offer options including integrated brakes, 2-speed operation, and speed sensors. The screw-drive motors are protected by a housing that rides on linear rail supports, providing smooth, low-friction travel for improved wear performance.

Slip-In Cartridge Valves

The Hydraulic Feedback Valvistor® (HFV) range of slip-in cartridge valves uses a self-regulating hydraulic design for the control of flow rate by a current-controlled PWM signal. The design achieves servo-type control of the main poppet without using an electrical feedback transducer. With its simplicity, cost effectiveness, and performance level, the HFV range can be applied in almost all applications—from high performance industrial areas such as injection molding to applications requiring only proportional functionality.

Proportional Directional Valves

Vickers specially designed injection PQ valves (D05, D07, D08, and D10) provide precise control of injection velocity, smooth transition from velocity to pressure control, and back pressure control that is highly repeatable to produce parts with tight dimensional accuracy and high quality. The valves are pre-wired with ruggedly constructed onboard electronics. Factory-set adjustments, including gain, spool dead-band compensation, and offset, ensure high valve-to-valve reproducibility.

Hose & Fittings

Eaton offers a wide variety of low-, medium-, and high-pressure braided hose and fittings for all types of injection molding machines. Eaton spiral hose is designed to meet the most demanding applications, providing maximum durability and long-lasting performance.

Open-Circuit Piston Pumps

Output of Eaton's 420 two-stage pumps is matched to the volume of oil required by the selected speed, thereby eliminating wasted energy. The 420 pump’s AC servo motor is more energy efficient than PQ pumps by aligning with energy requirements during the work cycle of injection molding machines. The flow of the pump is controlled by electronically selecting one of two pump displacements that are preset by mechanical stops and controlling the speed of the servo motor.

Advanced Product Commissioning Utilities

Eaton’s Pro-FX: Configure software allows users to harness the intelligences of Eaton’s growing portfolio of advanced hydraulic products. Pro-FX: Configure provides all the necessary functionality to configure, commission, and monitor the performance of AxisPro valves in a familiar Windows-based environment. For AxisPro valves with onboard control capability, Pro-FX: Configure also provides intuitive access to configure multiple closed-loop control modes that are fully compliant with the CANopen DS-408 standard.

Modern Touch Technology

The demands made of modern visualization in machines and system engineering are manifold, and the touch panels of Eaton XV100 and XV400 Series are just as flexible. They facilitate consistent engineering with variants from 3.5 to 15 inches. Two different touch technologies (infra-red or resistive), a wide range of communication interfaces, and application-oriented housing concepts guarantee first-class interoperability. All visualization devices can be operated as pure HMI or as HMI/PLC devices. The common, tried-and-tested, and flexible hardware platform guarantees the greatest possible reliability and long-time availability.

Electrohydraulic Application Development Tools

Eaton’s Pro-FX: Control software allows users to develop programs for controlling electrohydraulic systems. Eaton provides control function libraries based on the IEC 61131-3 standard that help reduce application development time and improve system reliability. Application developers can use Eaton-developed function blocks or create their own using the robust Pro-FX: Control graphical interface. This approach gives customers a flexible toolset that can be easily implemented, tested, and maintained.

New Generation Proportional Valves

Eaton AxisPro proportional valves provide integrated programmable control capabilities in sophisticated electrohydraulic axis control applications. These valves contain both programmable onboard electronics and integral spool Linear Voltage Differential Transformer (LVDT) sensors to provide precise, accurate, responsive axis control capabilities. Their modular design delivers four levels of control ranging from an entry level valve that is quick and easy to configure, right through to a valve that can be customized by uploading application code created by Eaton’s Pro-FX: Control software.

Fabricated and Cast Strainers

Fabricated and cast pipeline strainers are available in sizes from 1/4-inch to 60 inches for protecting valves, pumps, compressors, condensers, flow meters, spray nozzles, steam traps, and other critical equipment. The 2596 automatic self-cleaning strainer is designed to provide continuous, efficient removal of entrained solids in systems that require uninterrupted flow.

Filter Housing

PROLINE 100™ multi-bag filter housing is designed for high-volume applications and processes demanding frequent bag change out. It’s ideal for batch process runs and high dirt load applications. The PROLINE 100 SE is equipped with the QIC-LOCK™ rapid opening mechanism to ensure simple, operator friendly, and safe operation. The PROLINE 100 HE is constructed with a proven swing eye-bolt closure mechanism. Each model is designed for use where an ASME code is not required.

Filter Bags

Eaton filter bags deliver performance in both simple and complex applications. Multi-layer construction, pleated extended surfaces, fully-welded constructions, and pressure-activated seals make Eaton filter bags the most advanced in the world.

Magnetically Coupled Filters

MCF 824 Series filters are a cost-effective solution for a wide range of industrial liquid filtration applications. Their innovative, magnetically coupled driving technology moves the cleaning disc without the need for shaft or drive external seals. The filters also address the challenges of environmental concerns, loss of valuable product, and demand for greater operator safety. Typical applications include machining coolants, adhesives, detergents, petroleum-based grease, and paint.


Filtration Solutions

With the acquisition of Internormen hydraulic and lubrication filters, Eaton offers a full line of contamination and condition-monitoring equipment that is designed to maximize the service life of hydraulic systems. The product line includes single and double filters up to 1,400 bar (20,305 psi) and 20,000 lpm (5,283 gpm).
