Polish Young Explorers floated down 861km of the Vistula River from Kraków to the Baltic sea on a raft made of PET bottles and other recyclable materials. Their aim was to show the unique beauty of the river and its region and to raise awareness of the problem of water pollution in Poland.
South AfricaJuly 2012 | 10 participants
As a part of our project at Fontein Combined School in the Gelvandale Township in Port Elizabeth, we helped to establish a food garden, organize educational excursions for the school children and repaint the school building. In collaboration with Geberit, we rebuilt the sanitary facilities at the school, and thereby improving the quality of life of the children and teachers at the school.

During a three weeks expedition the Young Explorers discovered and captured the natural wonders of Peru, trying to promote sustainable tourism through presentations and photography expeditions.

Youngsters from across new Zealand kayaked 100 km down the Whanganui river on kayaks made of plastic bottles to raise awareness about plastic pollution and ethical consumerism.

Anthon and his team restore reefs destroyed by dynamite finishing in Hinatuan Bay by transplanting fragments of coral onto PVC pipes and hollow blocs.
Serbiasince 2010 | 20 participants
In collaboration with local youth the Pangaea Project has helped to start a sustainable Eco-Club in the city of Kraljevo with about 30 teen participants. The group regularly engages in a variety of conservation activities such as clean-ups, flashmobs, presentations as well as organizing Ecocamps in the Tara National Park.
Germany and SwitzerlandAs most of the members of the Pangaea Project are from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France there are always plenty of opportunities and reasons to meet up. Whether it is spending New Year’s in a remote hut in the Swiss Alps or going to Paris for a weekend of planing and discussing further projects, there’s always something on the agenda.During the Pangaea
