The Young Horse ChampionshipsFence Sponsorship

Competing at the Young Horse Championships is the ultimate accolade for many British young event

horse owners and riders. This prestigious event attracts visitors from all over the world to come and

view the best of event horse breeding, as well as spotting the potential stars of the future.

Already the stars of past championships have gone on to greater things: Badminton winner NZB

Land Vision, WEG silver medallist Cool Mountain, International Advanced horses Granntevka Prince,

Redesigned, Billy Landretti, Treason and Flying Machine are all successful graduates.

The Young Horse Championships are exciting as not only can visitors get the chance to spot potential

equine stars of the future in the four, five and six-year-old categories, they can also see in-hand classes

for mares and youngstock, the final of the British Equestrian Federation Futurity Eventing series, as

well as Pony Club classes and other attractions.

Championship VenueThe Young Horse Championships have been held at the beautiful Osberton estate, based just north

of Nottingham on the A1, since 2010. This venue lends itself perfectly to host the championships,

with acres of picturesque park and woodland. The addition of a climbing wall, archery, water zorbing,

a spider mountain and fun dog show ensures that there is something to capture the imagination of

visitors of all ages.

With over 40 tradestands there is plenty of shopping, and ‘The Central Tavern’ provides great food and

entertainment for riders and spectators alike both day and night.

Championship OrganisersSince 2010, the Championships have been organised by the experience BEDE Ltd team, made up of

husband and wife duo Stuart and Anna Buntine.

Both Stuart and Anna rode at International level in Europe and Australia. Stuart was actively

involved with Melbourne’s 1996 Olympic bid then went on to run events in Australia.

Stuart and Anna have been involved in Events management since 1998 and today run Hopetoun,

Belton, Osberton, Oasby and Shelford. Their invaluable experience has helped grow the Young Horse

Championships significantly over the past few years.
