INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
Invest AD offers investors expert access to securities markets across the Middle East and Emerging Africa through equity funds and discretionary managed accounts, and also provides sub-advisory services to other fund managers.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Through a joint venture, Invest AD and UBS Global Asset Management have launched a fund to tap major infrastructure development in the Middle East and North Africa.
PRIVATE EQUITY
Invest AD launched its first private equity fund for third-party investors in 2008, and expects strong deal flow in coming years as the family-owned companies that dominate the Middle East and North Africa region reshuffle their assets.

REAL ESTATE
Invest AD has been investing in real estate for three decades, and benefits from a strong in-house team of senior real estate professionals. The team has developed robust management and operation functions, making the most of over 80 years of combined real estate investment, development and fund management experience.
INVESTMENT BANKING
Invest AD is ideally placed to give unbiased advice and financial valuation services to investors for strategic investments, M&A, private placements and restructuring in the MENA region.
PROPRIETARY INVESTMENTS
Invest AD employs it’s own balance sheet in several areas on global markets. These include: private equity and real estate funds of funds, loan syndication origination activities and direct investment in other assets. The investment is primarily focused towards the Middle East and North Africa region.

Headed by Mohammed Al Hashemi, the investment management team’s 12-strong team of portfolio managers and analysts are committed to delivering investment products that outperform. With over 100 years of combined fund management experience in global markets, they draw on deep understanding of a diverse region and put extra emphasis on direct contact with senior management of companies, whether they are based in Rabat, Cairo or Riyadh.

INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE
The Fund seeks to provide Investors with a positive long-term return by actively
investing in listed MENA Region equity securities and cash holdings. The Investment
Manager will use technical analysis to identify and invest in those equity securities
which the Investment Manager believes will result in positive returns. The Investment
Manager will have full discretion over the portfolio and may allocate between 100%
cash and 100% equity investment being free from a set benchmark. The Fund actively
uses cash as part of the investment strategy in an attempt to mitigate downside risk
and preserve capital in down-trending markets.

INVESTMENT GUIDELINES
The Investment Manager will generally adhere to the following guidelines in investing the Assets of the Fund:
▪ The Investment Manager may invest up to 10% of Assets in individual MENA Region equities without regards to traditional weighting techniques such as market capitalization weighting or index benchmarking. The Investment Manager will consider liquidity and volatility in his allocations.
▪ The Investment Manager may invest up to 30% of the Assets in any one MENA Region country.
▪ The Investment Manager may choose to hold 100% of the Assets in cash or cash equivalents.
▪ Although the Investment Manager does not initially expect to short sell securities, it may elect to do so in the future.
▪ The Fund is not expected to utilize leverage in order to implement its investment strategy; however, the Fund may borrow when deemed appropriate by the Investment Manager, in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, to meet operational needs of the Fund. The total amount of any such leverage will not exceed 10% of the Fund NAV at any time.
