Plan your Christmas entertainment using this useful guide to what’s on in Farnham.

From Christmas shopping and Christmas markets to carol concerts and church services, Farnham really is the place to be for Christmas.

Shop for Christmas in Farnham. As well as having the choice of over 200 shops in our thriving high street, you can also buy local produce for your Christmas table from our Farmers’ Market. Visit on 24 November to pre-order items for collection on 22 December.

If you like shopping, you’ll love our Christmas Market on Sunday 8 December. There will be over 100 stalls selling quality Christmas gifts, food and decorations. Castle Street and The Borough will be closed to traffic so you can enjoy shopping in a traffic-free environment. In fact, why not leave the car at home and catch our free shuttle bus and remember to bring your reusable shopping bag!

Farnham Town Council’s Christmas celebrations will conclude on Thursday 12 December with the traditional Civic Christmas Carol Service hosted by the Mayor of Farnham. The internationally acclaimed Farnham Youth Choir will perform carols and music in what is guaranteed to be a truly magical service.

Farnham Town Council supports Small Business Saturday which is on Saturday 7 December and is a great way to show appreciation for the retailers who help keep Farnham a vibrant, bustling town.

Christmas Civic Carol ServiceThursday 12 December, 7.30pm, St Andrew’s Church

This lovely traditional Christmas service is hosted by the Mayor of Farnham and includes Christmas readings and carols and music by the internationally renowned Farnham Youth Choir.

Pre-order food for your Christmas table at the November market and collect your freshly prepared order at the December market on 22 December in Central Car Park. Visit www.farnham.gov.uk to see who is attending.

Join the Mayor after the service for a festive drink and light refreshments.

Half the available tickets will be given to volunteers who give their time to Farnham’s voluntary organisations and half will be allocated to members of the public via a ballot. To apply for free tickets, please complete the application form which will appear in the Herald on 14 and 21 November. The closing date for applying is 28 November.
