Ceremony Content
The couple should agree the content of the ceremony with the
Superintendent Registrar in advance. Any music, readings,
words or performance that form any part of the ceremony, must
be secular in nature.
Booking
The couple are responsible for contacting the Southampton
Registration Office to arrange a Registrar for the chosen day.
Bookings of any room for a ceremony cannot be accepted

The Admiral’s Room
Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Admiral’s room is situated on the
upper floor of the Clubhouse. Flooded with light and with stunning
views of the Ocean Village Marina, it is perfect for smaller private
ceremonies and wedding breakfast for up to 60 guests.
The Trafalgar Room
The Trafalgar room is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies
and also allows spectacular views of the yachts. Adjacent to the
restaurant, the Trafalgar room has a calm and relaxed air and is
perfect for an intimate wedding for close family and friends. Up to
20 guests will be surrounded by more of the Club’s impressive herit-
age memorabilia adorning the walls.

The Clubhouse
The Ocean Village Clubhouse offers a unique and romantic
setting for your wedding or civil partnership ceremony. Celebrate
in style in a calming and friendly atmos-
phere, at the heart of a prestigious marina,
close to the sea and yet just minutes from
Southampton city centre.
Here you can soak up the views across the
water from the Clubhouse dining room and
its balconies through your special day and
then sail into the sunset from the Club pool!
We will build your package according to
your budget and from a wise range of possibilities. Your wedding
coordinator will help you to create the perfect day, ensuring that
you are the centre of attention from the moment you get it touch.
Wedding Receptions
We offer a variety of flexible options for your reception, whether the cere-
mony is at the venue or elsewhere, but our experience has shown that an
understanding of proposed timings is vitally important to ensure the day
flows.
Our Wedding coordinator will help you plan your day to take in consider-
ation of any deliveries, travel, photographs, reception drinks, receiving
line ups, the wedding breakfast, speeches and toasts, cutting of the cake,
evening guests arrival, entertainment requirements and of course the
happy couples departure.
Catering Options Available
All our menus are prepared by our executive chef Glenn Shears, who in
conjunction with our coordinators, will prepare a selection of options
based on your requests and budget, which can be sampled prior to
selection.
We are able to offer a wide variety of catering, from canapes, buffets, for-
mal dinner type menus, or barbeques, all of which are prepared on the
premises from carefully selected seasonal ingredients, locally sourced.
Reception Drinks
We offer a well-stocked bar offering a selection of draught ales, ciders &
lagers, spirits and wines. Our coordinators can assist in the selection of
your reception drinks, accompanying wines, and toasts which can be
tailored to your specific requirement and budget.

The Clubhouse Lounge
The Clubhouse Lounge is situated at the heart of the Club offering
panoramic views of the marina. The room is perfect for wedding
breakfasts and seated dinners. The flexible partitions allow different
configurations for private dining for up 80 guests as well as access to
the restaurant area for even larger celebrations.
The Clubhouse Lounge also includes an integral dance floor,
available for evening receptions at your request. It is the perfect
room for a live band or a disco with additional disco lighting and
mirror ball, ideal for
such occasions. A

The Restaurant & Bar

“Since our wedding we have had non-stop comments from our guests
saying that RSYC was the best wedding venue they’ve ever been to. The
best chef, the best staff, etc… and they meant it!
The venue is beautiful with a ceremony room upstairs, a bar integrated
into the reception area (to keep guests dancing), dance floor, balcony
areas with views over the harbour, impressive front entrance which
looks great in photos, clean toilets, event he chance to go down onto the
pontoon for photos.
The food was spectacular, the chef is a true perfectionist and tailor-
made a menu especially for us. RSYC is happy to advise and suggest
things but will leave as much as you want up to you (for example, we
made our own decorations and stationery, but the venue can do it for
you).
From the moment Becca took on the organisation of our wedding she
was prompt, efficient and conscientious; she made us feel relaxed and
that everything was under control. On the day she and the staff were
friendly and professional, and everything ran like clockwork. They also
really look like they enjoyed the event which made a difference! They
were really flexible and Becca did everything she could to make our lives
easier. Even the next day pick-up at the venue was made really easy by
the thoughtful staff at RSYC.

2016 wedding prices
1. Confirmation and deposit
To confirm a verbal booking a completed and signed terms and condi-
tions form is required with a deposit of £600 within 14 days of any agree-
ment. Should this not be forthcoming the Royal Southampton Yacht
Club (hereafter to be known as the ‘Club’), shall be entitled to treat the
booking as cancelled.
2. Prices
Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at the stand-
ard rate prevailing.
3. Payment
A. A deposit of £600 per booking to secure the booking
B. A total of 25% of quoted amount 6 months prior to the wedding
C. A total of 75% of quoted amount 3 months prior to the wedding
D. Any residual amount to be paid one week prior to the wedding
E. All other charges should be settled prior to departure
4. Loss or Damage
The Client is responsible for any loss or damage caused to the Club
property or equipment hired to the client, by the client or the client’s
guests.
5. Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation by the client, the Club will try and miti-
gate any potential lose; however should this not be possible the client
remains responsible for those costs.
6. Confirmation
The Club reserves the right to cancel the booking if:
A. Any part of the Club is closed or unavailable due to any event
beyond the Clubs control or due to force majeure
B. The booking may, in reasonable opinion of the Club, damage the
reputation of the Club
C. Either party becomes insolvent
7. Health & Safety
The client and their guests are responsible to act in a manner that would
not pose a danger to themselves or others. They should also comply with
any advice provided for their safety, by a member of Club staff.
8. Finishing Times
Finishing times are agreed to ensure the celebrations are licenced and as
such extensions to these times are not permitted.
9. Champagne & Wines
It is possible to not purchase wines through the Club; however the Club
will be entitled to charge an additional corkage fee for this provision.
10. Numbers Attending
Once guests’ numbers attending have been agreed, these will be the mini-
mum numbers charged for. It may be possible to increase these numbers
at a later date.
